You get what you pay for. Sometimes some problems, so don't expect too much but value for money is good.

We have used Ryanair a few times, each was a different experience, Look they are cheap as chips to get you point A to point B and you must understand that,When you check in n line make sure you get a reply email with your boarding cards attached as You have to print them off, If you do not have them when you go to get on your flight, you will get stung for them to print them for you, So check, Check, and check again and then all should be ok, we pre-booked our seats as there was six of us in our group, kept us together that way. In general you get what you pay for, don't expect too much and you will be fine, Safe journey.

I have flown many times with Ryan air and to be honest due to the awful publicity, I didn't expect much but they got us safely from A to B with no problems. The staff were all friendly and polite. I used to hate the fact the seats were not numbered which always caused me stress getting on in case we couldn't sit together (we have kids) but now the seats are numbered even that issue is not a problem. If you can get over the terrible PR of the company then on the whole it is OK.

On checking in one suitcase, which was 3 kilos over so the girl said " is over", no politeness or good manners, so I decided to re-arrange it in to my hand luggage, and asked what difference it made if the 3 extra kilos went into my hand luggage or in the hold. No answer, after rearranging it was 0.8 over they still wanted £30. Had she been polite and had any form of customer services I probably would have paid the £30, instead of stressing my self out. It was a matter of principle and being spoken to like I am an inconvenience, that I refused to pay the extra money (even though my husband wanted to). Generally the flights were OK, check in at Dublin on the way home was friendly, but I cannot abide rudeness from anyone, therefore this is my last flight with Ryanair. I would rather pay the extra and fly Air Lingus. People should not tolerate this appalling level of customer service.

Have used a couple of times now so I am now used to the online checking in etc, but it is a bit confusing the first time. Would recommend paying the extra to pre book your seats if you want to sit together. The plane could do with a quick clean in between flights as there was a lot of food on the floor where I was sitting. The air hostesses could also be a bit more professional as I could hear them loudly talking at the back of the plane for most of the flight about boyfriends etc which was really annoying. Having said that I would definitely use again as it is a cheap way of seeing different places and if you just take hand luggage ( which is big enough for a few days ) works out really cheap. The only other thing I would say is that both take offs and landings were not that good, plane shuddered all over the runway and the weather conditions were perfect. Is it anything to do with the strange wings on Ryanair planes?

Hello Reviewers It is cheap to fly to Spain from London compared to driving but that is where all the pleasure ends. I have sat in better equipped and more comfortable port loos than on my recent flight to Spain. I think there could be improvements made the the flight conditions my husband swears to it that a stewardess farted in his face... i do not think this is acceptable even though i understand he can be an annoying man. Anyway i advise you have a open mind that the flight will be horrid but the sun will be shinning on arrival. Over and Out.

I booked my holiday with a online travel agent and paid upfront and was then transferred to Ryanair web site to print my boarding pass. This is always a pain in the Rs as you can not print your return pass until you have arrived at your destination. That is if you can find a Internet café. I always have this trouble and it simply is not good enough. The only way around this is to pay extra for a allocated seat.

My daughter flew with Ryanair from Faro to Manchester on Tuesday 24th June during the French Air Traffic Control strike. The flight was delayed one hour. She was sat on the plane awaiting for takeoff and then she gets a text message from Ryanair to say the flight is cancelled. It took off shortly after that. It also stated on the Faro Airport website that this flight was among the cancelled list. We flew from Faro to Liverpool the next day and no problems apart from an announcement that they were only serving coffee, no tea. This happened on the way out to Faro too.

We fly frequently with this airline and to be fair you have to abide by their rules and all will be fine. However, we recently paid for booked seats in January and went through smoothly, unlike the normal "cattle market" dash. Have been trying to book for June to go to Kaunas. Now understand you are allocated seats as Easyjet and others do. I was told you could be placed away from family and friends and as I am nervous for me that would be awful. What is worse, unless you pay £5 a seat you are not guaranteed that your small children, 2 and 3, would be with you. I rang Ryanair and was told this. I cannot believe Ryanair would do this to small vulnerable little ones, place them away from their parents. They are an extremely uncaring airline and if there was another like Easyjet going to Kaunas. I would not fly with them.

Reviewing my first experience of Ryanair. Website VERY annoying - have to go through lots of sections asking if you want more luggage allowance, book seats, book taxi etc etc and this was repeated when printed off boarding pass. We flew from East Midlands to Rome: I found staff unfriendly and wasn't able to understand their on board announcements because member of staff had very strong Italian accent. Felt very sorry for stressed families with young children trying to get seats together, why can't they board first - as a parent you want to sit next to your children and much as I like children I don't want to be sitting next to a child who wants to be with their family (I swapped seats so mum and son could sit across the aisle from each other). The plus point was they landed on time both ways, otherwise I would have given them one star.

Just got back from Gran Canaria on Flight FR3163 and can officially confirm that I have had the pleasure of meeting the most misearble Air Hostess on this planet. Yes it was very early but that is their doing not mine. She never smiled once, was determined to show everyone on board that she had no time whatsoever for anyone on the flight and if she could start an arguement with a passenger she would. Unlucky for her she picked on me. When getting ready to land she told me to switch off my phone which I promptly did, she stood there and said No, switch it off to which I replied I had. No, i have the same phone and that is not switched off so I passed her the phone, said you better switch it off then if you dont believe me and she just gave me a filthy look and walked off. She obviously knew it was off and had been in flight mode all the time but just wanted to vent her anger on someone. Other passengers were disgusted with her attitude. She clearly hates her job and I feel she would be better suited as a traffic warden or something along those lines. Such a shame as she was only young and the thought of other passengers having to put up with her for years to come just terrifies me. As Ryanair is such a large carrier of passengers the odds on coming into contact with the same miserable girl must be very low so it won't put me off flying with them sometime in the future, Maybe anyway.

Having booked flights with Ryanair we decided to get our car hire through them as well. On arrival at the Hertz desk at the resort airport we were told there was a new rule for Ryanair customers only (we were shown a sign on the booking desk). Ryanair customers only had to bring the car back empty of fuel and would be charged for a full tank regardless of the amount of fuel left in the car. As we were not doing much driving we ended up returning a car with substantial amount of fuel and paying higher than normal price for a full tank. I always read the small print with Ryanair and thought I was pretty savvy, but they got me on this one.

Although they come across as having the lowest fairs, by the time you finish paying the price has always doubled, they charge for everything, soon they're going to charge for toilets as well. I also dislike the atmosphere on the airplane because even there they try to sell you as if you are at a market.

Just flown Ryanair from Bournemouth to Gran Canaria and return. An ok price, not wonderfully cheap but still less than others. Bournemouth Airport, staff good, if bored. Baggage no problem, didn't even test it for weight or size... Gran Canaria Airport, staff good but did appear to be trying to get extra money for overweight stuff, our ok though. Flights, spot on for time but landings at both ends were horrendous, just flown into the ground with enormous bangs. The selling is maddening but these guys are driven to it by targets. Just shut them out and you'll be fine. All in all, ok. Yes I'd use them again.

Okay, so its no frills and you get what you pay for. Got us to our destination. And thats all we expected. Just don't expect too much.

Having returned from Lanzarote, I have to say that Ryan Air were not as bad as I thought they would be. Although I found them not to be as cheap as intially thought as they add charges for DEBIT card payments (which a lot of companies do not.it is a debit card not a credt card, so the money comes straight out of the bank account!!). The planes are good, seats comfortable and at least you don't have to pay to use the loo (which was a rumour I'd hearD). I wish the cabin crew looked a bit happier though. On both outward and inbound journeys not one of the crew broke into a smile at any stage of the flight! If they don't want to do this job there are plenty of unemployed people who would jump at the chance. I'm not sure i'f fly with them again because as I say there are a lot of extra charges so our flights were not as cheap as we originally thought. Onthe whole not bad, good timing and we were half an hour earlier landing on the return journey.

With budget you expect budget but what you don't expect is ridiculous bureaucracy. Two bags paid for 15kg each, one was 14 and one was 16 - not good enough so we had to unpack 1 kg (a book and a small toiletry bag and move to the other.....noting we had no hand luggage either and were allowed 10kg each we didn't use.Think the name for this is 'jobs worth'

DO NOT TRAVEL WITH "CRIME AIR", this is how the Irish People refer to this company, it is known all over Ireland as Crime Air and they give the country a bad name. Holiday in Ireland with 8 friends was great, travelling all over the country we spent a lot f time along the west coast - Kerry, Clare, Galway, Sligo, Mayo and Donegal..... it was great fun and we were warmly welcomed by the Irish country people, we had great fun and visited several places, Ireland is not cheap and even the locals can not afford to live there ... Dublin .... OH Dear we found it dirty and the B & B we stayed in there was a kip also we noticed in Dublin City, there is a lot of aggressive beggars, some foreign and some local Dubliners was not as friendly and there was definitely a lot of tension in this place. my friend Chris had his wallet stolen and the rest of the group chipped in to help him out, we had to ring the UK & cancelled his credit cards etc. We did not bother reporting it to the police and decided to get out of there quickly. Ryan air charged all 8 of us different prices for the same flights and Chris also unintentionally bought insurance he did not want because of the drop down box on the web site defaulting back to having insurance rather than not having it. On further investigation of their site it is very tacky and relevant information is very hard to find. It is not customer friendly and if you are new or un familiar with it, then it can be a burden to use. I do not plan going to Ireland again and it was just a bit of fun with a few mates. I told my wife we could go there as a family and Id check out the family friendly facilities in the different places we stayed. I am not bringing my family to the south of France instead and we are going with British Airways. It is not just about buying a ticket it is about treating visitors well and being grateful they decided to visit. We did not mind the charges as we had a few pounds but still how can a company charge what it likes. There seems to be no authority in Ireland who check on Ryan Air - the staff are not humans they are robots this is why they can't smile or say hello.

Everyone knows the reputation of Ryanair already. But it's cheap. You can't expect luxury. The staff are paid peanuts. So don't expect to be treated like royalty. It's got a good time record, and I've never had problems. I can handle a few surly employees once in a while.

Apart from the flights being on time and landing on time. The flight returning to the UK was absolutely RIDICULOUS. We were told that due to water supplies being so low that we were unable to go to the toilet as if we didnt have enough water to land we'd have to stop for 2 hours in Prague. As if I didn't want to get home as it was. It was only a 4 hour flight but still, I couldn't risk having any sort of drink incase the toilet was needed. There were also no hot drinks available due to lack of water. The staff were less than friendly and the aircraft itself was dirty when we boarded. Never again.

flew with Ryanair for the first time. Booked priority boarding. Staff were very friendly, priority boarding worked both ways. Flight was on time. As long as you read all the information that you are given then you should have no problems with your booking. I would recommend to friends and would use Ryanair again.
Thank you to all the staff on both flights.

Actually to clarify this, Ryanair will try and allocate your seats together, therefore if you check in earlier (2 weeks before) you have a better chance of seats together. Its the same with any other airline. Also as with every other airline, if you do get split up, then speak to the cabin crew. Im sure they will help move people around, they aren't that awful!
