dont know where all the bad reviews come from, if they want they can always spend big bucks with what they think is a better airline.in out of all the lowcost airlines Ryanair i would say is in the top league. all staff were pleasant at check in, departure gate and inflight crew. on outward flight and return flight. outward flight No FR3445,return FR3446. the aircraft was clean, the in flight crew were very good on both flights. will certainly fly with ryanair again. From start to finish terrible. Service terrible. Airplane terrible (chewing gum stuck to the interior) Flight (terrible) Food (terrible) To elaborate I sat down to find chewing gum stuck to my finger. Take off bad ( could be down to weather) although a slight announcement to make us feel at ease would have only been standard surely. Same with turbalance same with landing on 1 wheel I think! Food- not expecting a la carte just the basic ciabatta which would take your teeth out I did... (read more)

Travelled from Edinburgh to Dublin. Opted for a 15kg baggage allowance. When checking the weight of my suitcase it was over my allowance and 5kg was the suitcase so I read the website as follows: 'Each passenger may check in up to two checked bags upon payment of the applicable checked baggage fees by electing to purchase a checked baggage allowance of either 15 kilos or 20 kilos when make their initial booking.' It does not say 15 or 20 kilos per bag. I therefore took it that I could... (read more)

Well my husband and I got stung with Ryanair a few years ago at Murcia airport and vowed never to travel with them again. However, my son has travelled frequently with them and never had a problem so we thought we would give them another chance. We booked 4 seats from Manchester to Faro over the Easter holidays, I was anxious waiting for something to go wrong but it never did. We had one piece of checked luggage and the rest in hand luggage. If you abide by their rules everything is... (read more)

I have been flying for many years and, BELIEVE ME, Ryanair is the WORST company you will ever deal with ! Starting from their "website" where everything is carefully planned so you can misunderstand your choices and pay extra money just for "not-wanted services". Their MARKETING TACTICS are INSULTING ! By having studied and working on the Marketing area for over 20 years I GUARANTEE YOU that RYANAIR is using the most SNEAKY & MISLEADING MARKETING TACTICS , trying to sell you not-wanted... With bated breathe I booked to Frankfurt with Ryanair...but I was surprised how easy and comfortable the flight was. OK..no frills, but for just over £50 return was happy with all aspects, including the ground staff of the airline and the cabin crew. Wish I could say the same for the personal at Stansted Airport, who seem to go out of their way to be rude and ignorant. BUT THEY ARE NOTHING TO DO WITH THE AIRLINE. Having flown out of many Airports, I can say the staff at Stansted are the... (read more)

Flown with Ryannair several times, most often to Gran Canaria. Straight forward and easy and if you follow the rules no problems. Have seen people complaining eg those that did not check in online first, those that had bags over the weight limit, those that had a queue a long time to get on the plane, those that could not sit together on the plane, those with a huge hand luggage bag that did not fit in the size restrictions - if you follow the rules these problems don't occur, and you can... Stay away from this company!!! Despite their low-cost flights...they changed the flight time enough to be in impossibility to catch the connection flight; they have just only one section for complaints, where you should complete a restricted form to words and they didn't respond to this complaints...have no any email address...I never imagined that can make such big impostures. On arriving to the airport, I ask an agent about checking in she looked at my documents and told me that I could go right through security. I went to get something to eat then went to the security check point who sent me back to the counter to have documents stamped. When I did that I went back through security who took some time. I then looked that the monitor to check on my flight which read gate 55 for my flight. I ran all the way to the gate only to find that this was not the correct... (read more)

I truly loath Ryanir because every times try to do business with them they are always trying to trick me into giving more money for services they select on my behalf, like insurance for example. Additionally they then make it deliberately difficult to find the remove button, adding to the sense of rip off and frustration. What an appalling way to do business, essentially turning customers into victims. Can this airline continue to exist whilst creating a bad taste in the mouths of their... (read more)

I had intended to go into so much detail about how poor a company Ryanair is: how they have only two aims - to screw every last penny out of their travelling herds, and at the same time to make the travelling experience as appalling as they possibly can for the glum captives they carry. But really what can I say that a glance through the other comments on these pages has already said. I suppose if I were a cheery type I would admit that my recent experience, being something of a cross... (read more)

Flew with Ryan Air from Manchester Int to Warsaw on February 5, 2013, on flight FR2666. Flight out was uneventfull apart from the usual 'big sell' over the speaker system and the ridiculous prices for food and drinks onboard. My wife and I were staying at the 5 star Sheraton Hotel in the centre of Warsaw. We had a lovely room and the food was excellent. The weather as you would expect for this time of year was very cold with a covering of snow but the sights and atmosphere made up for the... (read more)

We have used Ryanair on a fairly regular basis and take advantage of the deals they send through. We know what to expect, we take hand luggage only and have recently chosen to book seats meaning there is extra charges but you also by pass the queues and know where you are sitting. I hear people complaining when they get on at the last minute but with a little planning they given an efficient and economical service. In 2011 I flew from Gatwick (London) to Dublin on FR113, the aircraft EI-EFH was great. the staff were friendly the cabin was tidy and the seats were comfy. We departed about 10 minutes later than scheduled, however we still landed in Dublin 20 minutes early. I came back the same day and the evening flights were even better. In 2012 I flew from Stansted (London) to Barcelona on FR9810, the aircraft EI-DYD was clean, tidy and comfy. The cabin crew were not so good due to the fact that none of... (read more)

Our daughter and her friend (22 and 19 year old, university students) were traveling back from Tenerife to London. At the check-in, our daughter noted that the agent did not stamp her boarding pass (a requirement for non-European passport holders). She asked the agent about this a number of times and each time the agent 'assured' her this was not needed. Come boarding time at the gate, they refused to let her board because she was missing this stamp. After running back to the check-out... (read more)

Stupidly cheap. Ignore people hating on this airline. I flew to Poland and back from Dublin for $50. They try to sell you all kinds of junk on board. Its a laugh. Its Cheap and a good business model. Ryanair may get you there but the problem is they might not bring you back! Through no fault of our daughter's and as a direct result of Ryanair staff errors, our daughter and her friend were left to figure out a way to get home from their vacation even though they paid for a return flight with Ryanair. It cost us an additional £512 to get the girls home. Not cheap at all. Ironically, since this happened, I went online and read the commentaryon Ryanair. If I knew then what I know now, our daughter would not have flown with this airline. People need to be aware of the issues with this carrier to make an informed cost vs risk decision. For us, it wasn't worth it.

One simple thing, only ONE, would improve the Ryanair service a lot, if all the seats could be reserved at booking time. People wouldn't be crazy in the queue to try to get a seat, would not have stress during the boarding time etc. I would like to know what is the extra cost for the company if all the passengers could pick their seats when booking the fly. Most of delays happens due to the well disorganized service when boarding. Uncomfortable seats are enough for one trip. The only good... (read more)

Letter written to RyanAir after horrible experience flying with them: Let me just start by saying that I am completely and utterly disgusted with your airline. You have wasted a lot of time on a long rant that I assure you will get you nowhere. With Ryanair you get what you pay for - a no frills service at a budget price. They have a very successful business model ~ you may not like it but it works for most of their travellers. I suggest you put your efforts into something more worthwhile as you are fighting a loosing battle. I am, in no way, connected with Ryanair and understand everything you have said however you booked the flight, their terms and conditions are displayed prior to booking so YOU had the choice not to fly with them and select another airline - you made the mistake not Ryanair.

Totally pointless rant, Ryanair simply doesn't cater for over pampered Americans, they cater for no nonsense Europeans who are more interested in getting places than having some complimentary peanuts. The American idea of no frills airline is Southwest, need I say more?

I was flying to see my mother from Luton Airport. In the duty free part of the airport I purchased an expensive box of sweat as a gift for my mum. Upon entrance to the plane I was stopped by an assistant for weighing my hand luggage, which was over weight by 200g. I have flown with Ryanair many times. My flights have always arrived on time, and in many cases early. If you travel with only hand luggage and print out your boarding pass at home, pay with a Ryanair Cash Passport, and generally follow the terms and conditions you will not find a cheaper and quicker way to travel. My 30 minute commute by train to London is more expensive than most Ryanair flights. Do not expect to be pampered or have a comfortable reclining seat. If you simply want to get... (read more)

I have flown five return journeys with airline this year and three were without incident. However there were problems with the other two. Disagree with your comment. Ryanair have opened up the airways for people who would not have even considered going abroad in the past let alone a cheap weekend away. If you stick to their rules (baggage size, book in on line etc) you are fine. MO'L just winds the press/people up but look at the publicity he generates - by getting free press/tv coverage he is not burdening Ryanair with advertising costs unlike say BA. Yes a no frills airline (but their fleet are new/clean) so don't expect a free gin and tonic when you get aboard but what you can expect is a cheap/clean/efficient service ~ if you don't like that fly with another airline and (generally) pay more.

All right, probably you could benefit from a plane with less seats. I've been using RA for about 200 times (!), will do it again this week, about 100% from France to Belgium. And there has always been less legroom, except some seats you need to reserve and pay an extra fee for.

I have had a really bad experience with Ryanair at Dublin last week and I thought I would let you know to see whether you are going to do something about it. Ryanair just made my parents (people who had to save all year for this trip) £50 because 1cm (a wheel) made their hand luggage bag too big.
