Bought a K4 GSXR 600 to do track days with and it came with slicks on it from the previous owner. I am not a fast rider and a novice at track days so I didnt want to use the slicks as I would not keep the heat in them. I got a set of these conti motions (180x55 rear & 120x70 front) and I have done my first track day on them. For a slowish rider on track, these rubbers are fine. They did not give me one issue in 5x20 min sessions with 40 min breaks in between each session. They were... (read more)

(read more)

These had to have been thee worse tires i have ever bought. I have an 03 Honda CBR954, it has been reduced to a commuter bike due to fuel prices, but still hit the local canyons when i can. I dont know how anyone could get the mileage they are posting, the front is still good, wear is not the best, in the canyons, i didntpush it to hard just because i was leary of the title "sport touring", but they seemed to handle ok, but as far as mileage, less than a 1000 on the rear, and thats normal... I install a set of Conti Motion on my 09 Yamaha FZ6R to replace the OEM Bridgetone 021. I have no regrets at all! The 021's always felt a bit "greasy" and the bike never felt planted. I never felt confident with the 021. I put around 3000 miles so far on my Conti-Motion and no complain. Chicken strip are 1/2 of what they use to be! (3/8") right at the end of the thread... Good enough for me!
I will buy those when I'm due for sure! And I will suggest those to all my friends. $250.00 or so...

Usually i would go with a more spec'd tyre like pilot road 2ct or similar but due to budget restraints this time round i thought id try the conti motions .... thank god for my tight budget because these tyres are awesome . I was not expecting the level of grip i got with these budget tyres , but soon after they were scrubbed in i got to test them out on a fav piece of road with lots of tight bends and some fast straights and all i can say is WoW are you sure these are budget tyres?? These... (read more)

I finally done a trackday on a new set of these conti's ..... after 2 laps of warm up i was giving them hell .... i wasnt expecting them to be as good as they were . I was riding in the advanced group and only got passed by one bike and that was down the back straight ..... his gsxr1000 had a way better top speed than my SV1000 but i was hard on his butt in the corners . I found that as the day wore on and the temps rose higher the tires got a bit slippy and i had to be careful exiting some corners as my bike wanted to get sideways on me . You have to remember these are not really trackday tires so in that respect they done great. For your better than average road rider these things wont put you wrong , lots of peg scraping action to be had , and they feel really planted. Only downside i found was that i tend to be wearing out the sides of the tire before the center is anywhere near done ...... just think its the nature of the roads here in New Zealand.

I want to go on record saying that I was one of those pilot power and nothing else kinda guys. But when money was tight last time I figured I would give it a shot. I bought a set if these for my gsxr 1000 and I love them. They stick really good in corners. While drag racing the back tire has great traction. Although a little noisy at highway speeds. I consider these tires a great deal for the 250 dollars I paid. (read more)

These tyres are good value, but as most good value things there is a down side. Life or mileage. Wet grip is great, dry grip is even better. Although 1 trackday and they would prob have had it. Ive got a choice of my next tyres. Michelin pilot road 2,avon stormst or angel pirelli st. Im kinda stuck. dont want bridestone. My bike is 52 zx636. Any help would be great!! (read more)

Dubious about Continentals after poor performance of road attacks with my 1200 Bandit, but since the price of bridgestone 021's went through the roof I thought another go with these new Conti Motions for my Honda CB1300 which were a whole £45 cheaper than the 021's were in order. 1st impressions were good with virtually none of the teflon type release compound evident on the tyres, and in the hand the tyres felt more flexible than the bridgestones which do have a firm feel. I was still... (read more)

Dont let the sport/touring label fool you ..... ive been through 6 sets of these conti motions now and i ride hard and always in the twisties and these tires have never put a foot wrong. had em on my 919 hornet which suffers poor ground clearance but i was always grinding off my peg feelers and having to replace em.... on my SV1000 clearance is way better and within about 30 min of fitting new tires there is no chiken strips.
these tires far out perform there price tag and all but the quickest of road racers. I love them , and no i dont work for a shop or tire company, I simply call it like i see it . Bloody good tires.
