I wanted to try the 30 day free test with my ipod while in UK, but could not get any service at any of my wifi locations. Hate the requirement to go onto Facebook to cancel, but could not figure out how to do it so I used their contact email service.--Spotify impersonal email response said service cancelled, but no refund and the billing continued. Still billed two months in a row for a service I have never used. Terrible customer service and dishonest to bill when no service used, and... (read more)

I signed up to use spotify to experience a whole new way of listening to music that is better than pandora. To tell you the truth i found myself closing spotify and going back to pandora. Ive had multiple problems with music streaming on my smart phone (songs would repeat, playlist wouldnt load, always freezes) I finally was able to contact customer service and in response to my inquiry I received an extremely rude response from one of their customer service representatives. I wish I had a... (read more)

Spotify is pretty much the greatest thing ever! Fast easy music at access anytime. The phone app is great and is such a great tool to any yoga or fitness instructor. The only HUGE bummer/problem is spotify recently stopped letting you move songs around in your playlist from your mobile device. So you must change the order from a computer. This is a huge drawback especially for teachers that move songs to adjust playlists for classes. Myself and numerous other co yoga instructors are... (read more)

I pay for premium which is on my computer from what I understand I should be able to have it free on my Iphone but every time I try to use it on my phone it tells me I don't have premium. So what do I not like about everything from not be user friendly to unable to change how I enter Spotify. If you want me to change how I feel about you please have someone contact me (read more)

I recently decided to take up Spotify on their offer of a one month trial and wow have I been impressed so far. I have used the like sof lovefuilm and netflix which are movie counterparts but been unimpressed by the catalogue. This is very different with Spotify which has anything I have searched for to date. I use this as an app on my iPhone and the streaming speed is excellent, not had issues with buffering even whilst travelling through tunnels on the train. The app is very easy to use too! (read more)

I have tried a number of time to install SPOTIFY and have repeatedly run into the same issue (...and wondering if it's common or a bug in my own system). In the MAC (Powerbook) Menu Bar the "magnifying glass" to the far right is called SPOTLIGHT. The problem is WHENEVER i search for something on SPOTLIGHT ((in other words, search for ANY subject on my computer!)) - and regardless of what I choose, SPOTIFY opens and overrides my search. I love the music choices but the glitch is maddening... (read more)

Great app. I use it everyday, but I have deleted my off line playlist on several occasions. Far too easy to accidentally press the on/off button on the offline playlist page by mistake. Pls fix this option Spotify! (read more)

This charge $9.99 has been showing for several months; however, I cannot reach anyone and cannot cancel this account. I do not have facebook, and have no recollection of subscribing to this service. I do not like being charged for something I don't need or want. My only recourse now is to cancel my credit card so that no other charges can be placed on my card number. I would encourage anyone to stay away from this site. (read more)

Sadly, they would not give me a refund for the month although the payment had not come out of my account yet (still pending). I only paid for premium to listen on my mobile device in the car. I cancelled premium and emailed about a refund because it would not play off of my mobile device and gave me the message: your license to listen offline has now expired, please go online to renew it. For two months the ten dollars was drafted out of my account, yet no music would play on my mobile... (read more)

I opened a Spotify Premium account yesterday and whilst I have received a welcome email and a receipt for my payment I have not been able to use the service because there is a problem with my login. I have sent a query to Spotify support and the have sent a automated email back to say they will "aim to get back to me" within 3 days! So effectively I am paying for a service that I cannot use and I cannot cancel my subscription as I need to login in even to to this! What is more Spotify do... (read more)

Dreadful, Poor customer service. they are quick to take your money but takes forever to sort out your problem. Recently upgraded to a Premium account, they debited my account but not upgraded to Premium account. Dealt with their customer service, 3 of them in fact and 24 hours later and the problem still hasnt been resolve. If I were you stick to the free account, not worth the hassle. (read more)

As an avid music collection I love online services that give me access to more music. Spotify is the online music system I use after moving back from the States were I used Pandora.com so I shall compare the two. The range of music on Spotify is excellent, with almost all tracks I look for, including some rare and odd stuff. However the radio option is next to useless. If I choose country I get all kinds of rock music back. If I choose alternative I get hard rock or pop. So in this respect,... (read more)

I started using this service 2 years ago and have been pleased with Spotify most of the time. Choice of bands , track and genres is good however there are still bands which can not be found there eg. Metallica! Music quality is good and Spotify can bighten your boring day at work. Good thing is integration with your facebook account so you can share playlist with your friends. (read more)

AMAZING. I have a premium subscription (£9.99) which is a TINY price to pay considering the amount of music you can get! Unlimited music, sync your playlists to your device for OFFLINE LISTENING, and no ads. It's amazing! If I hear a song on the radio I like, then I can simply type in the name on Spotify and instantly download it to my smartphone to listen to whenever I like.
When you think about it it's VERY good value. For £9.99 you'd get about 9 songs on iTunes, or one/two albums. But...

I almost exclusively listen to streamed music like Spotify via my Sono's kit at home (basically a Sono's plays streamed internet music anywhere in your house via wireless speakers - very nice piece of kit)
I've used Napster for a year or two on the sonos and have generally been very pleased. However, over the Christmas period Napster was pretty much down the whole time due to over use apparently - not ideal when you wanted to play a bit of Cliff at Christmas...
So, out of frustration with...

This is the kind of music website/application that record companies are supposed to hate but maybe the time is right because they love it and so do I!
Spotify is music service which is a bit like a subscription-based version of iTunes. They have about 6 million tracks in their database and they are adding more every day thanks to agreements with all of the major record labels and most of the indie labels. It's seems like the only thing slowing them down is how many people they can employ to...

agree with all the good comments about Spotify - if you think about it as a radio statin where you choose the music and you get hours and hours of great music with a minmal advert interruption which is fine -you can also pause your music to go to have a comfort break !! (read more)

Spotify is a brilliant music player that is as easy to use as another well known application. It may not have all your favourite artists but being able to search then play on the same page is a breeze. I'm creating new playlists everyday and then Twittering them to my mates or sharing the more out there songs with friends on Facebook.
Love the fact that it saves the songs you've played before without having to mark them (great if you're a little lazy like me).
Spotify is great fun for those...

Spotify is a great music service. You just type in what you want to listen to and the 9 times out of 10 you get what you want and it's all for free. unfortunately you get adverts come up every few song which can really bug you if you are getting down to a hardcore Yes listening prog rock fest then it sort of messes with the hippy karma of it all but it is a small price to pay.
you cannnot take the music with you and you need to be plugged into the interweb so it's only really good for...

I have just downloaded Spotify. What a fantastic program.
I was shocked how good it was and hooked right from the start. It is very easy to use and does not slow my PC down, unlike iTunes !
If anyone is in any doubt just try it..... It's free !
This is one of the best things to come to the internet for years

First of all can I just say, what an amazing idea Spotify is??
Spotify enables you to listen to almost any music you like as long as you are connected to the internet. If you have the free version every 20 mins or so you will hear a 30 second advert (which sounds like a radio ad) which personally is no problem and is how Spotify is legal and has free music. You can pay 99p for 24 hours of no adverts or £9.99 a month subscription for no adverts at all.
When you find an artist Spotify will...

I have used quite a few different types of music download sites/software and Spotify is quite different. Unlike limewire, ares and the download sites like them, Spotify streams the music to play on the software media player, rather than download to your computer so you can play it with iTunes or WMP.
At first I was quite annoyed about this as I typed in to search for some DJ's and found that their database is bigger than any other site I have personally used before. By that I mean I searched...

Spotify is great! I downloaded it off spotify.com a few days ago and it's just great; free music to listen to, legal and spyware free! I hate radio because so much of the music is not what I want to hear and is commercial and made worse by the often useless commentary of many DJs. But spotify is a superb alternative. With the adverts every now and again, it's a bit like radio but only a 100 times better! I have been able to find quite a lot of odd, old and small artists on there too, which... (read more)
