Well, I personally enjoyed reading this novel. It had a good plot and subplots that kept you wanting to read more. It was wonderfully written and most of the time I was learning things I never knew before involving science, technology, art, religion, you name it! I'm currently rereading it and am still enjoying it....I look forward to seeing this as a movie in May. Although I did find the romance in this story a bit distracting sometimes it was all good. It kept the story interesting and fun. I would recommend "Angles and Demons" to anyone looking for a great thriller. It takes you on an adventure, and I'm glad I went on for the ride!

If you're a true reader you'll hate this as much as DaVinci Code. It's poorly written with an emphasis on unbelievable plot. I don't know about you but I can't stand people doing things in absolutely cliche manners, it all becomes predictable. Like most of pulp fiction, it's as though the author didn't care about writing, he just tosses out plot. Don't bother.

You learn a lot of facts that has to be with history and also how technology can help and affect us. It is a great book, I am sure you will like it.

Angels and Demons is not as good as the Da Vinci Code but certainly worth a read.

I really enjoyed this book. The tension builds up from beginning to end. It's one of those books where I found myself rushing each page to find out what happens next! If you are looking for a really exciting book with many surprising twists then I recommend this to you.

I did enjoy this book immensely, that is till I got to the end.

Without wanting to reveal too much for fear of spoiling it for other readers who haven't read it yet, the whole book was spoilt for me by Robert falling from a great height, using a windscreen cover as a parachute and surviving - a lazy ending to a good book.

Great! It's for all tastes, not just religious people!

Dan Brown's Angels and Demons offers plenty of mystery to keep you occupied.
    It's thoroughly enjoyable!

What a brilliant read! I liked it even better than the Da Vinci code, one of my favourite books that I have read. The Da Vinci code with more suspense, more action and more drama.

I thoroughly enjoyed reading Dan Brown's Angels and Demons, and to be honest, I picked it up with the intention of slating it and disposing it to the nearest don't-want-to-read-it-and-bin-it waste basket. I was advised to read this book before I read The Da Vinci Code. I did, and what's more, I enjoyed it twice as much. I found I was reading this book when I should have been doing other things, like going to sleep, walking the dog and eating etc. In fact, I enjoyed it so much I'm going to read i ...

I thought Angels and Demons by Dan Brown was really good, and I would recommend it to my friends. In fact I already have.

It seemed a little less refined then the Da Vinci Code, and it also seemed more violent. Well, not violent but the violence was more blatant, but it was interesting to see the tale that came before the Da Vinci Code and his life then, and how he escaped death so closely really psyched me.

There are many aspects I would like to point out of Angels and Demons that I found to be yet another example of Dan Brown's abyssmal writing style:

    1. You do NOT make your characters stop off at the wrong church and spend 3 chapters at the location before moving on! In a fast-paced action novel, this adds nothing to the story or the excitement... it is simply a waste of paper and time.

    2. If your father was murdered, you would not be completely fine with it two days later. Perhaps (and eve ...

What a read! I found myself completely lost in Dan Brown, Angels and Demons. A whirlwind of scientific canisters & historical symbols-wow!, I found myself completely absorbed & can't wait to tuck into the Da Vinci code. Angels & Demons,a must read.

Make no mistake, Brown is a very good storyteller. Granting him some space in terms of building up his characters (although the lack of depth allows him sometimes to turn these characters' behaviour patterns on their head when he needs to). I became quickly embroiled in what was a fascinating and keenly portrayed plot. The imagery he creates in Angels and demons, especially of Rome, but CERN too - is very strong. Very believable historical aspect also (I can't say any more than that if you haven ...

I read the Da Vinci Code before I read Angels and demons, and I loved it. However, Angels and Demons is to my surprise an even better outing from Brown. I couldn't put it down until I had finished it!

Dan Brown, Angels and Demons introduces the character of Robert Landon, a religious iconologist and art history teacher at Harvard University, made popular by Brown's recent bestseller - The Da Vinci Code. Just as in The Da Vinci Code, Langdon is coerced out of bed, by Maximilian Kohler, the director of CERN- the world's largest research facility, in relation to the murder of one of his top physicists - Leonardo Vetra. Vetra is not only brutally murdered and left with his eye gorged out, but als ...

Wow what a book. I was thoroughly impressed with the Da Vinci Code and decided to buy the other Dan Brown books. This book rocks - fantastic good ole thriller with loads of twists and turns and surprises. Fantastic to lose yourself in on a holiday. One of the best books I have read.

I read Angels and Demons by Dan Brown while I was on my jollies and I thoroughly enjoyed it! On my first holiday this year I ploughed through the Da Vinci Code and thought it was the dogs so I was eager to sample this new Dan Brown delight on my second excursion!

There are definite parallels to the Da Vinci Code:

Corpse mutilation in the opening scene - Check.
Hot but emotionally retarded chick for Langdon - Check.
    Langdons bad jokes - Check.
Mysterious Cult Intent on destroying religi ...

If you read the Da Vinci Code you won't be disappointed by Angels and Demons. You won't - it's virtually the same story. Robert Langdon with a female assistant follows clues around a European city in pursuit of an ancient organisation intent on bringing down the Vatican. Sound familiar? Having said that, I did enjoy the book. Okay, its not the greatest writing, but the chapters are short and they did keep me reading until the end.

Angels and Demons by Dan Brown is a gripping read and added to by the statement at the introduction that this tale was written using factual occurences, places, events and history, etc. A little far-fetched, but heh, it is fiction, so it doesn't need to be accurate.
I really enjoyed it and would recommend this read. In fact, the 4 Dan Brown books I have read (unpaid, I'll add!) were all hard to put down.
However, Deception Point and Digital Fortress are much more believable and more likely to ...
