“EXCELLENT BUT POOR TRIGGER”

Written on: 17/07/2014 by Gilbertbs18 (1 review written)

This is an excellent air rifle. Powerful, quiet and very accurate. Well capable of taking pigeons rabbits etc. The only drawback is the trigger which is very heavy in standard set up. Quality appears to be excellent… Read Full Review

“Extremely dissapointed!”

Written on: 26/04/2014 by AlenaVaughn304 (1 review written)

Nice cocking and very nicely finished, however after 1000 shots it still wouldn't group.I spent the day with a seasoned hunter and we shot around 400 rounds through it..best grouping 3 inch spread at 20 yards. Everything was tight and we replaced the crappy original scope with a Hawks 3-9x40 and it still had no accuracy. I went home with a thumping headache through frustration and I sold it soon after. Spend an extra couple of hundred bucks and buy at least a COMETA or German. I would have had… Read Full Review

I'm sorry but I completely disagree with this review , I found the Suppressor to be very accurate, well made, good looking and reliable ,quiet and right for the price as a starter gun, if a little heavy for me.
At 25 paces lying prone i was getting 8 out of ten shots in tight groups on a target every time and had no problem knocking over Rabbits (english) with head shots killing them stone dead, mine was in .22 flavour. the pellets used were Diabolo Field
I also found the scope pretty decent but it did have poor eye relief. but I got used to it .we all know there are better scopes ,yes a lot better , but lets be honest as a package you would be hard to beat it.

i had the same problem but worse, some shots didn't even hit the target and one didn't even leave the barrel. i have took it back and they have given me a new one hopefully it is a manufacturing issue and doesn't happen often.

“X20 suppressor”

Written on: 02/07/2013

Absolutely bang on for the money you pay (£145 at John Knibbs in Shustoke). I tested several rifle before buying and this one came out on top. My son who is 10 also finds it simple and easy to use at our club. I have found so far that BSA storm and any Webley pellets seem to be excellent for accuracy. What i also found amusing about the X20 was that my friend has a BSA R10 and I was hitting targets better than he was and vice versa when he used the X20 aswell… Read Full Review

“Disappointing build quality”

Written on: 07/05/2013

After reading the reviews in the Airgun Shooters magazine, where it received silver for new spring rifle 2012, I decided to purchase one. When I got it home and set it up the accuracy would not settle down. I tried different optics and pellets but the accuracy did not improve. When I returned it to the shop I was told the barrel was out of alignment and I was given a replacement. I then decided to trade it in for a Weihrauch HW95 - a truly awesome air rifle. Avoid cheap Chinese rifles - false… Read Full Review

“GREAT! LOVE IT!”

Written on: 20/04/2013 by ishootyourface (1 review written)

At the start i was finding it a little rugh to hold and shoot (as in the grips started giving me blisters) this was easily the only problem and was easily fixed by a pair of gloves. I would highly recommend this gun as it is accurate and quiet great for pest controle, the break barrel feature is comfotable to cok and load as the barrel is wide also making it well ballenced, the only down side to this is that the is no forsights if you just want to go with out the scope but its not a big thing… Read Full Review

“fantastic cheap air rifle ”

Written on: 04/04/2013 by robbiew91 (1 review written)

I am new to air rifles and the stoeger x20 came recommended from a friend who's pretty experienced with air rifles, I found the stoeger to be a fantastic shooter. It's light cheap and packs one hell of a punch, and the accuracy ive got from contrary to some of the reviews is fantastic. I would recommend this rifle to any new shooter. A must buy in my eyes if your new to the sport… Read Full Review

“few problems but overall very good”

Written on: 15/07/2012 by purespetsnaz (2 reviews written)

If you are looking for a supressed .22 air rifle this is a must have. It's light and easy to carry. It weighs only 7lbs compared to my hatsan mod 125 sniper which is 9lbs! The supressor on this air rifle is great. If you intend to shoot rabbits with this air rifle it will work wonders. When ever I go out rabbit shooting with this air rifle the rabbit dont hear the pellets fly by so the dont know what hit'em. Overall I have found this air rifle a charm. The supressor is great and it works… Read Full Review

“Stoege X20 most disappointing handling comfort in 60+...”

Written on: 03/09/2011 by FacetJockey (3 reviews written)

I'll not bore you with redundancy as to the X20's mechanical features. It works fine if you do your part and it is as accurate as the shooter. It looks and feels impressive for a relatively inexpensive air gun. With the wooden Montecarlo stock the heft is impressive as well. A good feature for me as I will probably not be carrying it afield. If you do you had better get a good sling. After I read the dozens of excellent reviews I felt I and my X20 deserved a Leapers 3-12X40 AO lighted… Read Full Review

“stoeger x20 .22”

Written on: 16/08/2011

got this rifle two weeks ago and i am pretty impressed so far. i wanted a cheapish springer for plinking in the garden, cheap it was at £110 pound but definately not cheap build quality. it is put together extremely well, feels very robust and has the design flair from beretta showing throughout. it appears to be very powerful and does have a certain amount of kick to it, a bit too much for my 12 year old son, but he has been spoilt by shooting my bsa scorpion pcp ! tried shooting the x20… Read Full Review

Agreed. Fine review. This particular review, among several others, was the reason I pulled the trigger (so to speak) and purchased this rifle.

things i liked awsome power incredible value for money accurate as hell good for beginners as well things i disliked ... the only thing i would say is that if you're thinking of getting it with a wooden stock, it weighs around 2kilos more - i got camo synthetic much lighter i'd like to start off by saying that if you're a beginner or a pro , this is an awsome rifle. bought mine from a gun shop in warwickshire for £89- bloody bargain! with a 3-9X40 scope. i've had it for around two weeks now… Read Full Review

Written on: 29/03/2011

I purchased this gun at local gun store on appearance alone, then started to shoot it and was very impressed. The x20 has very clear optics and is extremely solid. The only negative is that you have to expeiriment with pellets until you find one that is accurate. I think the copany should post a list of pellets that are available and there accuracy so you don't have to search until you find the one that works the best in your gun… Read Full Review

Doing the accuracy thing is cheap for airguns. Try doing it with center-fire rifles. Getting the accuracy is half the fun of shooting. Have your friends over to shoot with the bad stuff and use the good stuff when it's your turn! It will make you look good. Have fun with it.

I've had my Stoeger X20 for around 6 months and bought it from Hunting and Fishing in New Zealand. Mine didn't come with iron sights for some reason and i'm kin of dissapointed with that, but except for that it's a good gun. I use the Stoeger 3-9x50AO Air rifle scope and it's pretty good. I usually shoot from around 30 meters away and when it is zeroed in it's pretty accurate. If you are going hunting the gun can get pretty heavy, but that is with nearly all air rifles. When I went hunting I… Read Full Review

Written on: 19/08/2010

I did not want to write a review until I fired a few thousand rounds thru this gun (X20). At first was impressed with the gun, it sighted in fairly easy but I could not get the gun to stay sighted in. I then removed factory scope and locktited all screws. Still had the same result. After 5 to 10 shots it would not shoot consistant. This was using a bull bag and table rest at 45 yards. I tried several brands of pellets. JBS, RWS, crosman, daisey, air arms, gammo, and benjamin/sheridan… Read Full Review

Written on: 09/08/2010

I've had my Stoegar x20 .22 for about 18 months, it cost £105 from Blackpool Air Rifles, which was an absolute bargain.
It was tested when new at 11.5 foot pounds, and has not lost an ounce of that in the time I've had it...a real tack driver as some like to say.
Fitted with a decent scope this thing is very accurate and would be ideal as a first rifle and thought lacking the convenience and stealthy operation of a PCP rifle, I'm sure that it could be very effective for rabbit hunting or pest… Read Full Review

although i have rated the Stoeger x20 at only 3 star, this is a good gun. the only reason that i have rated it so average is that i think i have found a manufacturers fault. i bought a stoeger X20 6 month ago and within the first three month i could hear the mainspring rattling when i lent the gun forwards so i took it into the shop in richmond, england where i bought it from and got it fixed on warranty and now three months later, it has broke again!! i am wondering if it is worth replacing… Read Full Review
