Like the other review I read I too was on the verge of buying a new electric shower as, in the words of my niece, the old one was 'like playing a game of catch the drips'. I decided to try the EcoCamel shower head and am delighted with it. I don't claim that it is now like some of the new large headed power showers but I now have a really efficient, hot shower without having had to purchase and install a new one and without increasing my water usage. We purchased a Jetstorm Shower Head in Feb 2013. My husband and I carried out a test to see if this did indeed conserve water and energy as the company claims but on our system, this did not prove to be the case. We ran the shower for 20 seconds and measured the water used in that time. The Jetstorm proved to use exactly the same amount of water that our current shower head uses; this was with or without the flow regulator. We have good water pressure in our property, so a standard... (read more)

The Jetstorm shower head has not only saved me on the water bills, but has finally improved my pressure! I would recommend this to any one, as the company give you a 30 day money back guarantee. A product that impressed the whole family! (read more)

I swopped the head of our shower to the ecocamel Cobra very easily. Although there is no longer the option of three different shower sprays I have noticed there is a reduction in the amount of water used. I do like a long shower and for me this allows me the pleasure without the guilt. Would definitely recommend. (read more)

When we had our annual health & safety inspection, the Inspector commented that they wished that all residential homes for the elderly used this type of shower head.also with our very hard water the lifespan of this product is far greater than any previous ones. (read more)

First off I would like to emphasis that for me living in the USA and having 80 psi water pressure this is NOT A LOW FLOW SHOWER HEAD!!! The typical US shower head is suppose to flow at 2.5 gpm at 80 psi. After doing three flow rate tests the ECO CAMEL seems to flow at 2.4 gpm!!! I do not know what they consider low flow in England but the ECO CAMEL is just another water guzzling shower head in the US (read more)

Delighted with this product - definitely increases the rate of flow to a level we have never had before. To early to comment on water savings but if product info. is correct then this will be another bonus. (read more)

This product caught my eye on apprentice, I like the concept of having a powerful shower, without using quite so much water. I can't confirm whether the showerhead saves the amount of water the company claims after only using it for a few days, but am impressed with the overall feel of the shower, and I'm certain it's using considerably less water than usual. Time will tell, but v happy. (read more)

I had heard about the EcoCamel shower head a few times in the last year or so and had always thought "what a good idea, I must get round to trying this" but never did. Eventually, my husband ordered one on their website after seeing it in the paper. When it arrived, we did the flow rate test against our old shower head and could not believe the difference. This little device has cut our shower's water consumption down from 18.5 litres per mintute to 7! I have now received my latest gas bill... (read more)

I feel sorry for the company. I deal is good but the product is rubbish. I have had 5 of the old style and 2 of the "new and improved" version. The 2 new ones lasted 2 days before they leaked and its very difficult to correct. At least with the old style you could take them apart and fix the problem. Yes I know you shouldn't have to do this with something which costs twice the price of a regular showerhead from B&Q.
Now with backing from Southern Trent Water hopefully they will sort it out....

This shower head is a waste of money in my opinion. It simply doesn't do the job. All I can see is that it is 'eco' because it barely sprays water! It leaked out of the back attachment also. The only positive is that i got a refund because I wasn't happy with it. (read more)

The only reason this shower head uses less water is because it barely produces any spray or water flow. It provides a terrible showering experience and I had to request my money back it was so bad. Ended up buying the Nordic Eco Shower Head which is brilliant. Provides a great shower and seems to use less water. The Mira Eco also looks to be good. (read more)

Have had the Ecocamel for about 4 months and found it quite good. It definitely seemed to give a better water flow with the aeration. Our old shower head gave a very weak flow when the temperature dial was increased during the winter to deal with colder water coming from the mains. (electric shower: Triton jade). just recently the shower sprang an enormous leak with water pouring out of the casing. The Triton engineer said that the Ecocamel could produce too much back pressure and cause... (read more)

The shower head is cheap plastic and leaks. If you are buying this shower head to save water and money you are better off going to the hard ware store and buying a restrict-or to place in your current shower heads neck to achieve your desired savings. (read more)

Do not consider this if you have a tank fed hot water system - this needs a high water pressure to work properly - I would suggest that you only consider if your shower works on mains water pressure when it would probably work fine. (read more)

EcoCamel Shower Head Worked well for a few times, even though there was some dripping from the hole that sucks the air in. This gradually got worse and worse. The showerhead feels cheap and the little cover that hide the screw that holds the place on came off after one use. I am sure that it did save water but the shower experience wasn't improved in any noticable way. I could but a showerhead for less than a tenner that would work better and I expect last longer. There is a warranty but I... (read more)

EcoCamel Shower Head is an excellent product. It is very little different from a normal shower and saves loads of hot water compared to a normal shower and hence a saving of fuel. We all love it and feel it gives us a better shower. Can't really fault it. There is no problems in our house with water running out of the hole (except when it is turned off and then only for the water in the head to drain), neither do the holes clog up - they are the same size as a normal shower - though we are... If you live in a hard water area the head clogs very quickly because the holes are so small. In addition to my last comment the head has a small hole at the base of the handle. This is to allow the air to enter, unfortunately, it also allows water to escape. This means the head must be horizontal to be used without water flowing down the pipe and, in our case, onto the floor. So, with the EcoCamel Shower Head, soft water area good. Hard water bad. Shower head in shower cubicle good.... (read more)

We have had our ecocamel shower head for about 6 years now. I suppose it must be one of the earlier versions, because I can't get the rose off..
Every now and again it gets clogged and the water starts coming out of the air intake.
I soak it in a small cup full of Viakal for about an hour, and hey presto! it works like new again.
It's a very clever invention and it does save water. We now live in a low pressure, hard water area and our metered water bill has actually gone down.
