Good Points: What MAX can do is limited only by the users imagination.
Bad Points: You get the feeling this program ahs been refined over years, meaning you have a lot to learn before you are ready to make the first leap.
General comments: This program is vast! On a 17inch monitor you still have menus going off screen! The pieces it can produce and nothing short of breathtaking from industry animations to casual renders, stunning.
128mb ram and a faast card will serve you well since this thing is memory hungry and throws tantrums if you are lacking.
Get the program, explore with some tutorials found online and then just go for it, every button os easy to find and well defined. Everything feels well thought out, scary a t first but worth spending time with.
