I bought a Cannon Camberley gas cooker 10 years ago. It worked well at first. But the electronic ignition for the hob burners gave problems after a fairly short time. I have to use a piezo lighter most of the time, especially for the large rings. The power of the large rings is poor. The main oven temperature is below what it should be, so you need to set it higher than advised. The top oven is more useful for keeping things warm than for cooking. I would like to have known this before... (read more)

Owned the Cannon Camberley Double Oven for five/six years and no functioning problems. Small oven cooks great pizza and breaded chicken. Different sized burners. Marks to indicate temperature/flame control were not on the knobs, but on the panel. Glass panel behind knobs and metal edging round it collects gunge - difficult to clean. However, glass does prevent high/low flame marked indicators being rubbed off with time. Also has a safety shut off when glass lid closed. Easy to use timer... (read more)

Got a Cannon Camberley Double Oven. Main oven is very very slow. So slow I actually had Cannon come to check the cooker because I thought something was wrong with it!!. Temperature in the oven is actually 15 degrees below what is shown, which means turned up full you can only get a maximum of 225. Top oven actually cooks faster then the "main" oven. According to Cannon this performance is "within expected tolerances". The grill is smaller than my last cooker which was 10cm narrower. My old... (read more)

We have had this oven for 8 years (wedding present) and have been very satisfied with it. Right from the start we thought that the top oven did not heat up as well as the bottom oven but this was never a problem we just mostly used the bottom oven. We are now disappointed that our bottom oven does not heat up properly. The gas is there but has no power in it. Have phoned engineers who say that this oven has a life of 16 years so not sure whether to get it repaired for half the price of a new... (read more)

Had my Cannon Camberly for a few years now and all has been well. Recently the igniter's on the hobs have been clicking when the ovens are on. As the gas wont go on without the plug in for the ignition i've had to stop using it. Don't want to spend money finding out what the problem is so will get a new cooker and the money will go on that instead. Time will go on deciding what one. (read more)

I have had my Cannon Camberley for about 4 years and have never had a problem with it. I found it very easy to use and to clean. I also found the oven timer very useful and having 2 ovens was very useful when cooking a large meal or catering for a party.
I have now changed to a oven and hob due to my kitchen being remodelled, but would have my Camberley back any day.

Me and my sister bought our Camberleys at the same time and on both the knob for the grill/top oven broke. When Cannon sent new knobs the grill/top oven could still not be turned on because it was out of warranty. We were given a free estimate for repair and the repairman said the problem could not be fixed so we never had the use of the grill/top oven. For an expensive cooker with such a good name this was money down the drain stay clear. (read more)

All the problems you have had should have been taken up with the manufacturers and I would have asked for a replacement when the cooker had gone wrong on the 2/3 time.

I bought the Canon Camberley Double Oven cooker having owned a Canon Canterbury for the ten previous years, and having been extremely impressed with it. However, the Canon Camberley is an entirely different ball game.
I immediately noticed that it was nowhere near as solidly made as the Canterbury. This cooker has needed many service call outs. The holders onto which the control knobs fit have snapped several times. The front of the top oven was continually 'falling open' revealing...

I bought a Stoves gas cooker and it has had everything possible wrong with it, call outs must have been a dozen and engineers/parts useless. Wish I had rejected it. Be warned.

I think all the problems mentioned should have been taken up with the makers when they continued to go wrong and I would have asked for a replacement.

Our Cannon Gas Cooker is an excellent cooker that is easy to keep clean and does everything we want it to. Only downside is that the oven gas jet seems to get clogged easy and need repairing every couple of years. (read more)

I am so glad that I am not the only person to think this cooker was good value for money. I have not had anything go wrong with mine in 4/5 years.
