    I think the Man Booker Prize is an excellent reference point for choosing national and international literature. When in a book shop looking for something to read I'm always drawn to publications that have been nominated for, or won the Man Booker Prize. I've bought and read a few books after being influenced by the Man Booker Prize's shortlist and never been disappointed.
