My trip consisted of three flights each to and fro. Going went pretty smooth with the exception of a two hour delay due to mechanical issues. It turned a six hour flight into a eight plus hour flight as we sat on the plane for two hours waiting for the mechanics to clear the plane for departure. That was ok as I woudn't want the plane to break down. My return trip however was a nightmare. My first flight went ok with the exception that I was charged to check in my bag. flying to go on vacation. i didnt have any problems on teh flight/check in or anything and the staff were friendly enough. cheap and basic airline, but it gets you from A to B and back
my only two improvements would be
price and quality of food for purchase

I flew with United Airlines back in the summer of 2008, from London to Denver, Colorado and had a mixed experience. Flying to Denver in premium economy class was fantastic; really comfortable seat, plenty of space, good food, I felt like a king. However, my return flight to London was really poor. I was in economy, right at the back of the plane, very cramped in a seat that was ripped and had only a small amount of leg-room. My baggage got lost on my way back to Montreal.
On my way to San Diego the flight attendant grab my baggage when got on board to return it to me when I leave the airplane but she forgot to tag it so my baggage got lost and I couldn't find it… Read Full Review

I was part of a contingent of passengers that spent over 5 hours either on the plane or in the terminal Sunday, June 8, 2008, on flight 646 to Newark.
Our flight to New York began on Flight 5881 at 9:51 AM (Eastern) Sunday (6/8/08) out of Knoxville to Chicago and was on time and smooth as glass to O Hare. Generally not bad, but the main meals where a lot to be desired. Full of fat,no taste. And a bowl of lettuce for starter! We checked in 4 hours before flight and my husband & I

I flew First Class with them from L.A. to New York. The flight left on time, and the lounges at LAX and JFK were comfortable. The overall United Airlines experience was nothing spectacular, and I only fly with United on this route because American Airlines is deplorable… Read Full Review

Auckland to LA return May 2000 - My first long haul flight was with United Airlines when heading to the USA for a 3 week holiday. The flight over to LA was full so we were confined to our allocated seats for the whole flight.
In the economy section this was a very uncomfortable experiance. The flight crew were efficient but not overly friendly or interactive. They fed and watered us and then forced us to settle down to sleep whether we wanted to or not. Considering it was a midday flight… Read Full Review
