Flew Newark to Frankfurt on 11/4/14. Had a pair of male female French attendants who were absolutely the worst in the world. They basically hated Americans. I still have many miles left to use but am seriously thinking about never flying United again and forgo my miles. “Not On Time”

In many cities United flies what I call "toy jets". They advised me more than 24 hrs in advance the plane would leave late due to a tardy crew. If that was the case why did they not get another crew in there? Then the crew was even later and because it was a "toy jet" they had to check for bird damage. Now we are leaving even later and my problem was I had to catch an International flight which of course I missed and my luggage stranded. “This is the worst airline I have ever been on.”

This is the worst airline ever, because of the staff incompetence we did not get on an early morning flight even though we were there 2 and 1/2 hours early we had to take a flight that was 10 hours later and missed an event we paid $75 per ticket for. Called customer service and they said there was nothing they could do for us. No one of the three staff at this airline seemed to give a damn about us or offered us any kind of compensation for their error. Will never ever fly with this airline… Read Full Review

“Worst airline ever”

I am so disappointed with United. I went on an 8 week vacation abroad and traveled on my own. They lost my luggage going out of the country and in the country AND on my way home, they canceled my flight, making it so I couldn't go home as planned after traveling for 24 hours straight, and didn't pay for my hotel. “This airline stinks”

Does a flight from SFO to Medford Oregn ever leave on time? I don't think so. I have two friends who have had to fly this route in the last month, one flight was delayed a day the other was transferred to Delta flight. I just checked online for my son's flight from LAX to you guessed it SFO (today)and there is no status info available so who knows when he'll get back. “waited over 7 HOURS with no info given”

Flying from Fort Myers FL to Chicago IL we were diverted to IN due to a medical emergency. Then the plane was having problems with an error message. We waited for over 7 HOURS without any offers to another plane or even food! Not a single person provided any information nor did they speak to us about what was going on. “Awful in Every Way”

I'm claustrophobic, so we paid extra for exit seats on four flights; they did not provide exit seats on three of them. Plus, flights were late in leaving, the environment was ugly and uncomfortable (even for a plane), staff were unhelpful, general customer service was awful when we tried to get back the extra money we had paid for the exit seats we didn't get - basically, I can't think of a single good thing to say about this airline. “Cancelled flight, brushed us off!”

Connecting to Burbank through San Fran today, last two flights to Burbank cancelled without explanation. Found a "service" person who verified no more flights until the next morning. So far, the only thing that I've noticed from united is the halfwit staff and maintenance crew. Nearly all the employees where helmets and half of them have their helmets on backwards. “AVOID United like the Plauge”

Cramped seats under new subsection of original Economy (aka Economy Plus) which is just a more cramped version. 2. $7.50+per Dixie-sized cup of anything that might take the edge off a horribly long international flight. 3. “New Seats Suck”

I just don't understand how new seats can be worse then the old ones. Twice now I have been unfortunate to have experience these seats. They are hard, short seated angled so you slide forward. I understand the need for more seats/fares. What I don't understand why you can't get comfort too. They did not sit in them long enough in testing. I do not recommend United Airlines, they are the worst airline I ever had to fly with. The aircrafts are old and the flights are constantly canceled due to technical problems. I've bought a ticket from Sao Paulo to Newark, my flight was canceled three times, I end up in Washington DC and then to Newark on a flight that took almost 24 hours to get home. Horrible expierence! Not only was my flight delayed and I missed my next flight but the employees were absolutley rude! I missed a very important special event due to their latness and laziness! Flying United Airlines Denver to O'Hare in Chicago, then on to South Bend, IN...final destination. Too many flight delays. We had booked flights to Orlando and had to fly from London, went up to London the day before as live in Cardiff and when we arrived and checked into the hotel my husband received an email cancelling our flights and rescheduled them for 6 days later!!!
