My Eugene/Ottawa flight was for 4/24/2017 approx 6pm. I live in Bandon Oregon 3 hr away. Arrived at 3:30 pm and told that my flight was cancelled, the customer service person said that emails were sent and I was advised about the cancellation. No such alert was given, I checked my email, tablet and cell phone. I spoke to others going on the same flight and they were not advised either. Happened to me also. Then you are on hold forever and when they do answer they hang up. No help what so ever. Never recommend them again

Hi, I'm not sure how you were treated for being flight cancelled by United.
I had the same situation with flight cancellation by United, and I got well feed back and well arranged for the next available flight. United didn't have the daily flight and United had tried their best to put me on the first available flight of other airline and I feel good and comfortable, though delayed for some hours. Yet, safety come first when the plane seems not good to take off.
I don't think United is as bad as you think. May be it all depends on the location and the handling of that place.

“Mexican Airport Shut Down After Trunp Elections”

The Mexico City airport shut down with no explanation while on the Tarmac for hours. Then there was no accommodation nor assistance to catch my connecting flight. I don't think they recognize the severity of such a stop. Let the protests from the country that is our main labor and workforce begin. Bought 1 domestic flight ticket. Frequent flyer. Made date change, medical reason. United quoted different price than actually charged. Received email $1,900. Insurance did nothing (ripoff). 800 number from another country. Said accept charge. Supervisor overcharged for changing date. Started as $400 flight, now $1,900 for making change. I flew into O'Hare on Aer Lingus from Dublin, Ireland on 6/26/16. The experience was horrible! I had been through security check prior to leaving Dublin and on arrival in Chicago had to go through again. we had 4 flights with united 1st one from Manchester UK to Newark, promised baby crib at check-in, then told only had one on board and someone else had it, no infant seat belts so baby just sat on your lap not fastened in, dreadful service, on 2nd flight internal 3 seats allocated to us scatted throughout the plane we are a family 2 adults 1 child (5) and a baby this should not be allowed, after complaining they gave us 3 together, service on plane much better than the international flight… Read Full Review

“Deceptive airline”

I had to cancel a flight with United. They charge a $200 fee if you re book a flight within one year and tell you that the remaining sum you spent can be used for payment towards the new flight. Not the case....only after you re book and they have your money, then they tell you that the remaining sum will not be applied to this flight, but can be used for booking another flight within a year. “Canceld 3 times and lied about finding a flight”

“Not a flight on time!”

Traveled on United from San Francisco to Paris in September/October. All in all, we took three different flights. Every flight was delayed from 2-9 hours and two of the three flights had mechanical difficulties. We flew Premium Economy, which was a joke. There were no extra amenities other than extra leg room. I travelled from Baltimore to Los Angeles on United 1477 - sat in row 7D which is literary sitting next to the bathroom. The entire 5 hours of flight, I inhaled the odor and the germ/bacterial. Could not eat or drink anything as it was awful. I have reported this to the FAA in the hope that they will pay attention to the location of this seat. “Worst Airline I Have Flown On”

I have flown quite a few times before, and I have never had such a bad flying experience as I did with United. I flew a round trip from Detroit to LAX with a connecting flight each way. There was a delay for all of the 4 planes I flew on, and on the way there, there was a 2 hour delay. On the way back, there was a 1 hour delay and we sat in the plane while they fixed the air conditioning, and it was incredibly hot. “Awful experience”

Our trip to Cozumel was awful thanks to Uniited Airlines. 2 hour delay going, 3 hour delay coming back causing us to miss our connecting flight in Houston then lost our baggage that has'nt yet been located 8 hours later. Had to spend the nite in Houston , needed to be at the airport by 7:30am so needed to wake at 5:30am. ( Alaskan cruise) : New Orleans to Houston to Seattle Washington. “Taking time away from my trip”
