Good Points: Cupface technology increases the sweet spot more forgiveness, one degree open face sets up very well with my normal draw spin Quadra Action Fujikura Speeder stff flex aids in developing clubhead speed without swinging harder and the low torque keeps the club head square at impact, classic looks, manufactured with extremely high quality materials to exacting specifications, very soiid feel inspires confidence

Bad Points: The sound of a well struck shot isn't the best - MacGregor added two inserts of a dissimilar material to dampen the sound on the Tour model, The swing weight is a somewhat light

General comments: The MacGregor NVG2 Tour driver is the best driver I have ever owned. I gained 15 yards over the Titleist that I traded for the MacGregor. I am absolutely sold on the cupface technology, it inspires confidence. I know when I was slightly off the sweet spot on the Titleist I paid in lost yardage or a lost ball. I also appreciate the face one degree open, it aids in my set up and works well with the strong draw. I think the Quadra Action Speeder shaft from Fujikura is outstanding. The way it loads and releases energy through the swing adds a few miles per hour to the swing without swinging harder. It is extremely solid. I purchased the MacGregor MT 460 9.5 degree driver last year with the Aldila DVS shaft. I tend to hit it higher with a little more spin which can translate into lost distance.
