Good Points: An excellent read. You will be hooked on this series by the end of this book.

Bad Points: Despite the book's overall quality, one gets a sense that it is really the calm before the storm. The next two books really build on the events of 'The Drawing of the Three.' This series only gets better as you read on.

General comments: This book is the second ind the Dark Tower series. It has an exciting and fast paced plot that is far more entertaining than the first book in the series. The shift between action on Earth and Roland's world is very cleeve with the use of portals bewteen them. Roland's world is an intriguing and at times disturbing place that never fails to surprise or alarm you. Furthermore, the development of Roland's character really adds depth to the series. The first book barely scratched the surface of this gunslinger.

Stephen King, The Dark Tower: Drawing of the Three - The story begins with the gunslinger awakening from a deep sleep on a beach. His journey takes him through different "time portals" to different times in Earth's history to unite a band of people to help the gunslinger reach the Tower. A very gripping story that continues this fantastic series.
