Until recently I would have recommended Pickaweb to anybody, I have had reliable web hosting from the company for a couple of years now. Over the last month however I have experienced repeated problems with my website and emails being inaccessible. Each time I use the Live Chat facility and someone gets the site back up, with promises like "happy hosting from now on", only for the problem to recur. Customer service is OK, but the actual server hosting is terrible if you have a larger business. We have about 10 sites and will be moving them all due to outages/downtime/dns setup mistakes ect ect. Stay away from them if you value you sanity and stress levels. (read more)

We had hosted our website with Pickaweb for four years. During this time, we had several major outages but each time Pickaweb did just enough to keep us on board. However, we had to move hosts after our annual bill went from £65 per year to £182! There was a badly worded email advising that "some" customers would experience a "small" price increase sent out which, perhaps naively, I didn't worry about. Had a quick issue when setting up Budget Webhosting with Pickaweb. I had only been given a 50MB space allocation whilst the plan listed 200MB. Concerned I'd overlooked some sort of sneaky fine print I went onto their 24 hour live chat and asked the representative about it. They asked for my details and within minutes my allocation had been fixed, with an extra 50MB thrown in. Everything else so far has worked fine and is very straightforward. (read more)

The live support service is great, always very fast to respond and very helpful. Great value for money - Certainly has one of the cheapest hosting plans ive came across I have already recommended pickaweb to a few friends and would certainly recommend them to more. I personally find that reviews which are all singing and dancing start to sound a bit hollow and tacky. No one has ever asked me to recommend a hosting operation but if they did I’d recommend Pickaweb. For me they’ve been there when I needed them and have always solved the problems in hand, no one., not even me could ask for more. (read more)

I also had another issue some days back with my website and that problem was also handled very well and very quickly. It says it all....Live Chat ! I transferred a domain from Easyspace to Pickaweb as it is sooooo easy to use and the support is phenomenal. Live chat is the way forward, UK based live chat that is, even on Sunday evening around 10pm. The support guys dont mess around. They understand your needs and sort the problem. No beating around the bush like press control alt delete and restart the computer, they know their stuff. Pickaweb is a great concept and a market leader. No 1 for me. (read more)

I have used another company that cost me a fortune and I have lost the will to live with them after paying over £350 in 3 months. I have found out I can move my site with ease with help from steve. Live chat must be one of the best features I have used. It is far superior to having to telephone in and pay to wait for an operator to reply. With Pickaweb's live chat one can sort out a problem in real time right when one needs it sorting. The tech team appear to be right on the ball and know the subject. Completely rubbish web hosting service. I have used them for the past few years to host my website. I've had many issues in the past but the most recent have been the final straw. Pickaweb, is by far the best hosting company that I have come across! No matter what you're looking for, Pickaweb has got it. Big or small website, Pickaweb can handel it. I could not log in to my emails so asked for help. Sam was very quick and efficient in finding out the problem and fixing it immediately without any hassle.
Very pleased with the effort and quickness put in to rectifying my problem. I would recommened pickaweb to anyone. Sam understood straight away what the problem was and fixed it without hessitating. Very good technical support 24/7 and always happy to help, just had a small glitch and was fixed in minutes. Tutorial videos available for people new to website building and experienced people to refer to. Pickaweb's prices and services are brilliant value for money and I would definatly recommend them to anyone wanting hosting, domains or similar services.
The support service is fantastic and there are many options to choose from in how you want to be dealt with. Email and ticket versions are good ways to deal with issues but I like to use the instant chat and telephone support thast Pickaweb offer. The response is always very prompt and I have never had an issue that wasnt resolved either...

The best thing I like about them is simply the 24 hour chat support. Every single time I needed their support they were ALWAYS there. True at times they have difficulty finding the source of the problem but nonetheless they reset the settings back as before that makes life simpler.
Their package allowed me to put more than one website which is great because I got to learn more, experiment more and eventually become a good web designer.

I've been using Pickaweb for a couple of years and I have had a couple of problems.
Mail stopped working and unable to access the control panel. But the guys on the chat support are simply amazing, every issue was resolved within minutes of requesting help.
The staff are helpful and friendly and are willing to answer any question I have got, no matter how silly I think it is.
Fully recommend these guys.

I been using these guys for a while after streamline.net complete wasted my time. I wouldnt say they are 100% but I will tell you as a fact they are the best all-round service on the market.
I contact them anytime of the day or night and I mean a TRUE 24/7 operator service 7 days a week. Awesome.
The operators themselves have become more helpful in the last year so I guess they have responded to some critics.

Pickaweb offers good and professional support both with sales and technical issues. Their staff are patient and have good customer care orientation. They are polite and would tactically support in ways that also build a customers capacity where he/she may be lacking.

Pickaweb provides high professional service from domain registration to web hosting.
The customer service experience is superb. The staff are very helpful and always at hand to help. A major gain from Pickaweb is the free online marketing course, that, no doubt sets a "novice" on the road to online success. I have been using Pickaweb for a good number of years now for a variety of facilities from Domain Name purchases through to Hosting. I was with demon internet for years - they were cold and unfriendly and the helpline was the put-on-hold while your still paying for the call routine. I tried others outfits but Pickaweb is the best. The instant emailing back-up is superb and the prices are the best too. Been with them quite a few years now.Whilst most things computer and web related seem to be maturing, & getting to be more reliable; - The opposite appears true with Pickaweb. - Dwon time seems to occur almost monthly.
It is down as I write 21:30 BST on the 18th June.
Last time they were down I submitted asupport ticket, but they never bothered to reply.

Finally, after waiting for over 4 hours (and I suspect my site had been off the air for several hours during the night before I tried accessing it first thing this morning), my website hosted with Pickaweb is back online. How long before it goes down again I wonder? I am now actively looking into alternative hosting solutions. Pickaweb had their chance but they have blown it.
