    Good Points: Good looking aquarium
Choice of cabinet trims in MDF
    Nice silver trim
    Does not need polystyrene base
    integrated lighting (slideable)

    Bad Points: None noted

General comments: I have been keeping fish for over 30 years and in the last 12 years have settled on Rena equipment. Partly because I like the looks of the cabinet and the aquarium trim looks good in the lounge, but mainly because ... touch wood it has been very reliable.
The 350 is roughly 4 feet x 2 feet x 2 feet wide with two seperate doors and shelving in the middle. Plenty of room behind the doors to put a large external cannister filter and all the plumbing so it looks neat from the outside.
It does not have room for a sump though.
I think the glass is 10mm (though it might be 12mm) and the tank is very neatly put together with no smears. The aquarium has two dividers and there is still ample room to put rocks and ornaments into the tank without the need for removing one of these dividers. I have 48 kilos of ocean rock in mine and 42 kilos of crushed coral sand and there was no problem. I would reccomend putting "egg crate" down first before placing heavy rocks - especially if the fish are "diggers".
The lighting system comprises 4 tubes on two seperate sliding rails which is good so you can illuminate directly over your plants which allows greater thought for aquascaping.
The filtration is provided by two Rena XP3 external cannister filters which I hope to review at a later date - these are superb and very easy to clean and "self priming".
You can buy this tank at larger garden centres that keep fish and it is also available online. It is worth comparing prices from both these sources because daft as it sounds, some bargains are to be had at garden centres !
    I have had this
Rena Aqualife 350 Aquarium for six years now and it was £600 well spent. It still looks as good as new and I have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending it for either Tropical, Marine or a Rift Valley set up (mine is the latter).
