Good Points: Lots of good ideas and how to info.

Bad Points: In some cases bad follow through or lacking info. For instances; I am building the hobbit house and they do not give the exact radius of the curved roof pieces only minimal measurements on the board plan. Turns out the radius is in the neighborhood of 14'. Good luck laying that out if you're a beginner. Also, the plan calls out for the walls to slant outward with out any consideration to the swinging door, i.e. it will continually swing open or if you put a latch on it the door will swing into the child when they unlatch it. It all makes me wonder if they ever actually built this project or just drew a "pretty picture". This is not beginner frustration I've been in construction for 25 years - some of this is just not thought out.

General comments: In general a cool book, but do as I did and thoroughly go through the plans and think it out so you don't end up stuck in the middle of the build.

I highly recommend Tree Houses You Can Actually Build to all enthusiastic d.i.y. handy people...not just "men" as I am a little old lady of 67 and have done it all on my own!
