The job was completed in two days due to the fact that the joiners never stopped for a break. The first day they worked late to complete the bedroom so my mother would not have to be relocated. Our windows and doors were fitted by durashield here in bearsden about 11 years ago and have never gave us any trouble. Two days before we were due to go off on holiday our door refused to lock, Durashield called the same day put in a new lock and refused payment even though we were out of warranty. I had new winows fitted about three wekks ago and had one or two snags which maybe i was being over fussy, durashied did sort out the niggles so maybe i was not being too much of a pest. Durashield fixed the snags without too much of a song and dance but i had not paid so would that be a factor??? I spent just under £3500 and would guess the new windows have added more than £5000 to the value of my home. Durashield fitted my windows in November 2012. Well we have had torrential rain, very strong winds, sleet and snow - no leaks. You may think i ahould expect no leaks but Durashield removed another companys windows from our home that continually leaked. My husband and i visited the durashield showroom after having been at two other companies premises. We were made very welcome and actually enjoyed the visit unlike the other two showrooms. The Durashield man came out later that day and three weeks later we have the best windows in our street. If you are thinking of replacing your old windows you should not go anywhere else.
