After the failure of a pair of new Meindls I decided to try Alt Bergs because I have heard good things about them.I have now done about 200 miles in them and am delighted with them.They were comfortable straight away and I have had no rubbing or blisters.No water has got in despite some of the wet hikes I have done.They are also very grippy.If these last as long as my friends (3 years and still look good)I will be very satisfied indeed. “Comfortable straight out of the box,I have a wide foot...”

Comfortable straight out of the box,I have a wide foot and struggle to find boots that fit but with 5 width fittings I had no problems with these. The boots were fully waterproof for approx 2500 miles of hard Pennine walking but eventually the leather cracked behind the toe box and, as at the same point in time, the soles were showing serious signs of wear I regretfully retired them.
