I highly recommend these home based courses, I completed the FASD course, the pack was sent promptly after payment, the information in the pack was fantastic, easy to read and understand, the course content was very informative, gave a great insight into the condition. The pack provided lots of information for the questions, the activities were good as you had to "find" some of the information, which was good as it certainly put the awareness of the condition into some perspective. “Intro to Forensics, intro to a new me!”

I have just finished the Introduction to Forensic Science course and i found it very interesting, I have had an interest in Forensics for many years but I haven't studied in a long time; I found the assignments easy enough to understand and complete. “Unbeatable price and a Recognised qualification”

Distance Learning Centre was my first home learning experience. I was so happy with the course format and support that I came back for a second. I am now in the process of purchasing a 3rd course! Courses are broken down into modules, each with quiz and assignments to test what you've learned. The tutor always replied to my email within 24 hours. What can I say about the price?unbeatable! Choosing Distance learning is tough because you never know what you are paying for? Distance Learning Centre provides good quality courses with outstanding tutor support. My experience from beginning to end was fantastic. I completed the Early Years Foundation Course and now have a deep understanding of the Early Years and all areas of development. I absolutely loved doing my English course with distance-learning-centre.co.uk I had a fanstic tutor called Jill, who was a fully qualified teacher. She was constantly checking up on me, we'd speak 2 or 3 times a month about the work to make sure I knew what I was doing so that way I could get maximum grade and pass first time round, which I felt was a fantastic service. I had been looking at becoming a teaching assistant for some time and deciding to look in to Distance Learning as I was already in part time employment and simply didn’t have the time to attend college with my other family commitments. I am interested in this course - how long did it take you? What course materials did you get as part of the package? Did you have to buy books as well? How much did they cost? How many assignement did you have to do? and additional observations in School?
Any help would be really great :)

It is self study but took about 10 months what with the kids and all!!

Its a course folder that you receive which has the instructions to follow and I didn't buy any extra books. It was about £400 but you would need to check on the price. I think there was about 12 assignments based on work from the placement. It is quite hard work so I would only commit if you have the time & energy! Good Luck :0)

Hi Foziebear again - thanks for your reply. I just wanted to check on something, I am slightly worried about something, could you help me clear something up? You say that it has lead to you having a QCF qualification and that there are some companies that don't lead to a qualification. When you received your paperwork at the end does it state the QAN on there? How can you prove to other people that you have a recognised QUALIFICATION? thanks :)

I signed up for the CIW Master Designer Plus course in 2009 and attained my CIW Professional accreditation after successfully passing the Foundations and Site Designer courses. A big thanks to Mike and the rest of the team at the Distance Learning Centre for their help with my studies, the level of service has been excellent. From memory every email has been responded to within 24 hours (usually quicker) and every query/issues resolved in a timely manner - truly first class customer support. (read more)

I bought responding to substance misuse level 3 from the distance learning centre for a great price what was more impressive was I could pay in installments! My course arrived very quickly and any queries I had or have had since have been dealt with within hours. I have completed 3 CIW Courses and I thought they were excellent as was the prompt and helpful assistance I received when needed.

I have taken 4 courses through Distance Learning Centre and have found them to be pretty good. A lot of the courses they are agents for but the price is often cheaper than the actual course owners!

Currently doing a Webmaster Course which has been great fun and the support has been excellent. (read more)

Although courses are cut price so is the service. There seems to be one tutor for all courses, who gets annoyed if you do not understand things. Course notes, provided on CD, are for Windows XP only and do not explain things very well. Often out of date. (read more)
