Beautiful book to read but a number of ladies from the group I am in made some of the samples to make individual quilts but were disappointed that when the
squares were finished non of them came to the same measurements and all had
have varying size of borders added to bring them up to correct size therefore
very dissatisfied. (read more)

Lynne Edwards, The Sampler Quilt Book has very clear instructions and fine examples of individual blocks, which are then shown in the completed quilts.I am particularly interested in the border pattern to Hazel Hurst's beautiful quilt on page 119. I keep looking at it and trying to work it out, since I'd like to use it to complete my first sampler quilt. Can anyone help with this, please?
