Good Points: A good upgrade to windows 95 Some really good updates available Such as IE 6, Win media player 7., and microsoft "critical security update notification" update.
Bad Points: Can Crash, Umm
General comments: If you have Microsoft Windows 98 Operating System, get the updates. One update micosoft don't do that they should is an updated help files update.

I used Windows 98 for quite a few years and was quite happy with it. Then I tried linux and found out what I was missing. I still use Win 98 for some very specialist physics modelling software which only runs on MSwindows, but every time I use it, I'm frustated by regular system crashes and repeated reboots.
On the subjective side, the windows desktop lacks many of the great features of modern Linux desktops, like multiple workspaces and unlimited keybindings. Although there is far more com ...

I see windows 98 as a bug fixed windows 95, with a few
extra features. Important things haven't been addressed
yet, unix is still superior in many ways.

despite preferring SUSE LINUX I still use win98 for ease of internet use and software compatibility. I would happily pay to have linux instead if they could support software and drivers as well as Microsoft.
Actually it is because everyone else is using MS Windows that the SW is written firstly for this OS. Pity really
