Before buying this D65SCEQ I bought an Epi Les Paul Custom Plus and the playability and action were beautiful but I needed an electro acoustic to just sit and strum anywhere to do my practice. So I bought a Tanglewood TFCE - big mistake! The action was abysmal the tone was so so and it didn't matter what I did at it, it just didn't "feel right". So I sold that and bought the Ashton. What a difference the action is almost as good as my Epi the tone is to die for and the looks are stunning. Bone nut and saddle, real wood rosette inlay, wood binding and even wood fretboard dots, plus built in tuner and excellent pre-amp. I'm 53 but my next door neighbours grandson is 20 and in a band. He had a play and just sat there with a grin shaking his head. I asked what was wrong and he said playing some guitars just makes me smile and this makes me smile!!
