I bought a Husqvarna 235e because I needed a small chainsaw around the property. Out of the box it would not stay running for more than 5 minutes. Once the engine was warm it would not start. Took it to an authorized dealer and was charged for a carbuetor adjustment. Used it to trim limbs and cut down a few trees. It stops running after about 15 minutes and will not start until after sitting for hours. It has been to the shop 4 times, each with a carbuetor adjustment or rebuild. I borrowed my brother's Stihl chainsaw, it kept running until I got hot, not when it got hot.

I would agree with almost everything others have said about this saw, it is a complete waste of money lots of critical parts are plastic and prone to breaking , like the chain tensioning screw and the chain lock mech , both of which have broken , and aren't covered in warranty! everytime I pick up this saw to use it something else goes wrong , am ditching it to get a Stihl !
Please please please do not buy this saw it's pants

I have a Husqavarna 450e/20″ that I bought just about 2 years ago for cutting up Willow trees. Love this saw it's awesome! I had a Craftsman W/16″ that I used for cutting up the brush and small branches but I really was tired of fixing more than using it. Cutting firewood this spring the Craftsman quit again 30 minutes into cutting, I through it in the trash and went and bought a Husky 235e. I never had any problems starting it but I bought it from a dealer and not a box store. The problem I had with the saw is that after using it for about an hour the plastic got warm and the saw (AntiVib)system would flex so much that when up cutting the saw would hit its RPMs and as soon as you started pulling up you would lose RPMS and the saw would kick back!!! After running the saw for more than 1 hour I had a hard time just hitting any RPMs to be able to cut! Dangerous!! I called Husqavarna reported my issue and told them that the saw is not very safe for first time users!! Nothing like my 450, I can run that all day!! I took it back to my dealer they contacted the Husky rep and I was able to upgrade to the 435 and this saw will eat the 234/240 any day and is over a pound lighter, it is more suited for cutting firewood and hours of use even though it's a "H" use saw it has the quality of the "L" saws

I`ve been running with 136 and then a 137 for some years and they have stood up to my rough treatment with ease.Bought a 235 recently and have had nothing but trouble. The first one I had would not start or power up properly so took it back to dealer and they said they had fixed it but on the very next job it broke down mid day which left me in the lerch. Demanded a replacement from dealer but still not happy with it.The chain tensioner broke as its the new no tool one which is a cheap platic cog which just shears off.Als chain brake broke by shearing the cheap plastic and it was not covered by the warranty and i had to pay for a replacement(not happy). I am now thinking of getting a stil to see if they are better
