This Tech Force TF97 is a great beginner's gun. Nice wooden stock, fixed barrel, semi-accurate, powerful It's accurate, powerful, and a breeze to use. I got mine with open sights and i didnt like them. I ended up buying a scope and mounting it. No problems since then. Mine likes the Gamo rocket pellets. I had like 8 inch groups(is that even called a group?) with crosman ultra magnums.
Open sights, trigger has some creep but nothing too bad

Got this gun with a MacCari spring from compasseco, and I'm happy with it, and the compasseco services. I had some minor issues with one of the scope rings, but they replaced it immediately without even requiring a return. I think I am really still breaking this in after about 700 rounds, and I don't know that I've picked out which pellets it likes best, but I am happy with the power, consistency and feel. I like the underlever cocking and fixed barrel. The one issue I have and this is partly fro ...

Overall a decent buy for your money. i own 3 of them, one hits dead on at 750 fps as advertised one hits slightly over at 780 and the 3rd is a bit under at 710 fps. but as will all Chinese made air rifles i have used and tested this seems to be par for the course, due to lack of quality control sadly these rifles vary in quality to be rated more than an 8. i love my 3 i have, and i recommended it to a friend, his only clocked in at 550 fps, he sent it back and ordered one from a different ven ...

The Tech Force TF97 .177 is not too bad, it's an accurate rifle with a good trigger, very accurate, iron sights are good. At the rifle club I won several silhouette shooting matches with open sights winning guys with more expensive air rifles using scopes. The only problem I do have is since I bought it in March 2004 until the date I had to replace the mainspring 3 times. It is also to strong on recoil and it shot 2 scopes (lucky both still under guarantee and both been replaced) to pieces.

The TechForce TF97 is a solid rifle with a good stock, it has a long trigger that in time suppose to get better, it is fairly accurate.

Its cocking method is smooth and easy it does not have a lot problem with scope movement. It seems to be a stable air gun, I'm not sure its worth the $100+ but at the bargain price $80 and if you want to experience an undercockers at a reasonable price and quality try the TF97 rather the cheap $34 TF34.

Take note that the HW97 is a $350+ rifle of excepti ...

Tech Force TF97 - Update my TF97 has broken in and has dropped from 850-800fps to 700-690fps pending .177 pellet used. This rifle is advertised at 900fps which is just hype as it is with any near 1000fps rifle.

But whats disappointing is that my rifle dropped another 100fps as it broke in. I've read that if I keep the leather seal lubed it will jump back up to 800+fps but thats a lot of maintenance for an Air rifle. I've only had the gun 2 months, probably 1500 pellets through it.

    I sti ...

After reading some pretty varied reviews on the Chinese rifle websites about the TF97. I had some mixed feelings, thinking it's a rubbish shoot.

The TF97 factory predicts 900fps in .177 and 700 in .22. I read a review promoting this rifle and it only got 650-545fps in 1.77 and 550-475 in .22. I know personally that Chinese rifles vary in performance from crate to crate. At our range we have a few TF99 that chron'd Super sonic 1100fps + with some pellets but most are Chorn'd ar 850-800fps wel ...

The TechForce TF97 is a Very good gun for the price. Out of my collection of air rifles (20 or so) I rank this one about 12. After break in-which is not 200-300 as the manual says. Its more like 600-800 rounds. I found the gun to be very accurate for the price. It out shot my gamo 440 at 30 yards. However the listed 900fps is highly overrated, its max fps I clocked through the speed trap was only 725. That was after about 1000 rounds. Before the first 500 rounds it never reached 650fps. It makes ...

I received my TechForce TF97 as a birthday present. My dad and brothers bought one as well, 5 total. Since I have owned it I have shot over 2,000 rounds through it. The guns power is great as far as I am concerned. The open sights it comes with are terrible. After a few weeks of putting pellets all over the paper at 15, 20 and 25 yards I opted for a scope. The scope improved my shooting results considerably. However, I still had some random shots which I am not sure if it was the gun, pel ...

Well I've had the Tech Force TF97 .177 for a couple of weeks now and am finding it hard to put down. It's proving to be a great little rifle and for the price you get a rifle that not only is pretty accurate but has a bit of power too. The TF97 is pushing the pellets out at quite a rate.I started using Daisy target rifle pellets but now am putting H&N Silhouette's through it now. I'm not sure of the muzzle velocity but it's up there with a more expensive rifle I have. The TF97 is a nice rifle to ...

The Tech Force TF97 is a pretty good airgun. It is very accurate, reasonably powerful, and is of a sturdy construction. The underlever cocking mechanism is very reliable and easy to use. Has very accurate open sights, and does even better with a scope. Very nicely finished and with elegant, European styling. It is very potent in .22 caliber, especially with the JM mainspring installed. It does close to the advertised 700fps. The downside, poor internal workmanship, high price, severe performance ...
