A nice, succinct review which correctly explains why the book is as good as it is. It's a decade - no more! since I read it myself, but shortly after reading it, we got a very, very wild dog who needed expert attention. Sam became "the best dog in the world" and without Fisher's "Dogwise" to guide us, we'd have had to give him back to the Dog's Home in Battersea. Instead, he spent another 15 years with us, and was devoted, energetic, and a perfect family pet.
