I have a Daisy Powerline 617x, a Gamo PT25 and, on the weight of a lot of research, I decided to get this Anics A-3000 SKIF recently. I have to tell you that I think it was money well spent, because it is very powerful piece of hardware and, contrary to other reviews that I have read, it I have found it to be reliable. I have put a couple of tins through the gun and it has worked flawlessly. I think the reason for this is I used a short pellet. I am using the H&N Field Trophy and they never... (read more)

I have had the A-3000 model for four years now and have never had much of a problem with it. Initially, using softer lead pellets, the gun would jam every 10-12 rounds, especially when using the special tool to load the pellets. Once I used the rounded fingernail of my thumb, jamming became much less frequent. Then, about a year ago, I started using d/s steel pellets which are more useful in self-defence and the gun has never jammed since. The only other gripe I have is the slippery rear end... (read more)

Okay so I got this gun the other week, I found it to be pretty good, good weight and feel about it, fires nicely, takes some amount of pellets/bbs, the barrel moves when firing, I heard good things about it plus I have one with a silver slide which is pretty cool, I'm told its also rare, but its pretty much awesome in my eyes, however since I got this gun, for the life of me I cannot seem to get the slide off of the gun, I watched lots of Youtube tutorials and read many reviews, and still no... Have had my skif 3000 pistol 4 years and put thousands of rounds through it with no problems at all.
Trigger quite a hard pull on double action and accuracy poor.
On single action it shoots well and i can get half inch groups at 30 feet.
If you want some fun stick up a few cans and let rip on double action, though please always practise safe gun handling.
I have a hip holster for this weapon and its great for fast draw shooting.
Note that this is not a target pistol, its for... (read more)

Ok,Skif A3000...I have mixed feelings about this one but lots of bad experience for sure!
Good points;very powerful 500fps I think/28 shot mag which sounds great but it's a nightmare cause it jams all the time and the fun's gone.
I bought a first one and took it back with seal leaking;they gave me another one and again ,but I fixed problem(sort of)with special seal cream. The trigger is awful(but this is a russian gun)so it's rugged and rough if that makes sense.
I still can't strip it down... (read more)

Well I've owned my A3000 Anics Skif (long barrel version) for several years, and had much fun out of it. Yes i'd agree with the stiff trigger, and occasional jams, but doesn't everything have off days?!
Everything has been just fine until yesterday... I loaded my 5 mags with amo, set up some old cans to have a go at, loaded the CO2, and it all went horribly wrong!!!!
The gun exploded in a very big bang.
The pressure of the CO2 ripped apart the cast part of the gun that houses the pressured... (read more)

this is a bit of a love n hate with this Anics Skif A3000. the power of it is good, the trigger is a bit stiff, but can be easily fixed with a trigger shoe from the net. it takes a little while to load the pellets. i had A jam because i loaded the pellet in the wrong way round, the gun fired pellets backwards and still broke the beer bottles up.
also buy some gun oil, so u can lossen the trigger abit
2 drops into trigger
2 drops dwn the barrel
and its all good.

I've just bought this gun as my first co2 pistol and im really pleased with it. It seems to be really well put together and a really fun pistol to shoot. I bought this over a cp99 because of the large mag, better power and mainly the price! I said 'never jams' I did have a jam, just the one. I struggled to get the magazine out, bit of gentle pushing with the supplied rod down the barrel to push the pellet back into the mag. I inspected the mag and noticed that the pellets were too deep and loose. Manually removed 20 pellets from the mag and discarded. Inspected the loading tool and discovered it was adjustable, damm thing had come loose. The brass barrel is in 2 halfs and can be unscrewed....screwed in the middle, the steel rod... (read more)

Well, if you know how to load it, it never jams. Make sure that the ammo is in the right position and keep the right parts lubricated, it never jams. Lead pellets tend to move from their position if they stay in magazine for long so they can cause jam if the move even a little bit. Lead pellets must be loaded and shot immediately. Plastic prometheus pellets remain in the right position and never cause a jam. i am very satisfied with its reliability. it fell down on hard surface a few times... (read more)

I would recommend against buying the Skif-3000 and also against buying anything from Champion Shooters Supply (ShooterCatalog.com), here's why:
I bought the gun because of the 28 pellet magazine. It comes with a small tool to allow one to seat the pellets securely in the magazine. I tried several kinds of pellets, all high quality but of various weights, and shot about 4 magazines trying to set the sights. At least one pellet in every magazine misfired (remained in the magazine with a... (read more)

I bought an Anics Skif A3000 about 2 years ago as my first foray into CO2 air gunning. I read a lot of reviews and, chiefly on power and magazine size went for the skif.
It's quite a good looking gun and has a reasonable weight to it. It also came in a hard plastic case with a couple of loading and dejamming tools.

I had this gun for half a year. At first it did not work at all due to constant gas leak. Had it sent back and leak fixed. After this the gun worked but I was not overly happy with it. The complex mechanism for firing means that the trigger pull is very heavy and slow to return, and the magazine jams twice for every 28 load (Making the 28 round mag much less of a bonus than it sounds. The gun has many plastic parts, but is made of a good quality resin type plastic, and will strip down just... (read more)

A few may bad like everything else. I have 2 of them and have never had a problem. You have to treat this air pistol like a real gun not a toy, get familiar with clip and ammo loading procedure and use the pistol single action most of the time since double action is so stiff anyway. It's far more accurate this way also. I have numerous c02 pistols and this one rates right up with my cp88.cp225 and the rest of my high end c02 pistols.
Just remember to get used to the clip. Make sure you have... (read more)

The instrutions are clear on c02 placement as far as the little thingy that is a pellet seat, when properly adjusted it works fine, bb's do not work unless they are lead, steel are to small.
The trigger is not that hard unless you have the mag jammed with the wrong ammo, sounds like you might.
This pistol requires common sense, it is not a childs toy. Read the instructions good until you understand them well and you should not have any problems. (read more)

I had Anics Skif A3000 for one and half years. It could have jammed if you shot BB but free from jam, if you apply pellet on magazine.

I've owned the Anics Skif 3000 (F1 Short) for over 6 months now, and it's been fantastic. I bought it despite reading reviews about it constantly jamming, and I'm glad that I did, as I've never had any jams. I've mainly used 2 types of pellets - Bisley Practice for targets and Prometheus for shooting birds/squirrels. I've oiled the mags after about 3 rounds (86 shots) each. One of the best pistol I have ever owned, only major let down of this superb CO2 pistol is its poorly build magazine, a company called PJR customs can help with this.
This Anics Skif A3000 pistol has a pellet sensitivity issue, so I never use lead or BB pellets anymore, instead I ONLY use Prometheus pellets .177 (get them on eBay). Ok so the Anics Skif A3000 is probably not the best gun about but it's pretty good. I found that when using pellets it jams occasionally but when I switched to BBs it worked fine and it hasn't jammed since. Trigger takes some getting used to and can be annoying when it skips over BBs in clip without firing them but other than that it's a good gun.
