    Bad Points: cost/benefit is not in line with expectations. It costs too much to be useless after 3 months. At the moment paper books are better for travellers.


    General comments: after 3 months the Sony Reader Digital Book PRS505S screen has issues which prevent reading of books.

    sony states not covered by warranty but as no damage to unit the screen is just not robust to take normal travelling so product is not living up to expectations from an electronic e-reader.

    e-books are not cheaper to justify the expense of the e-reader if it is not able to perform for longer than a few months

    I really like this Sony Reader Digital Book PRS505S, and reading is really easy on the eyes. It means you can carry a large selection of books around with you very easily. The screen/display looks very much like paper.
    It take a long time to reboot if you have lots of books, up to 20mins for 1500 books, but you only need to do this every few weeks.
