    Bernal Diaz Del Castillo, Bernal Diaz The Conquest of New Spain:
    I found this book fascinating; Bernal Diaz's account is unbiased and well-written considering he wrote it over 500 years ago. He describes his experiences in New Spain (Mexico and the Aztec Empire). I found this to be one of the most important and complete documents on the Spanish conquest of the Aztecs.
