Good Points: very well looked after by reps, nothing too much trouble.accommodation very clean and comfortable.fantastic beach and pool area.great restaurants on the nearby beach. well stocked supermarket....with local wine.taxi available by site staff booking.takeaway on site serve excellent pasta and pizza dishes.

Bad Points: the site is in its own private area and a car is a good idea to explore the surrounding country side. cambrils spoiled by high prices and unfriendly locals...remember to take your credit card /switch for cash

General comments: what an amazing holiday we had at playa-montroig in September 2008.very quite at this time of year and not all facilities open.however this did not effect the standard of care from the site staff who were actually preparing to go home to the various European countries they came from.The caravan we stayed in was a prestige standard.wonderfully equipped and very clean thanks to the excellent reps.we thought prestige was the highest rate,however available in some were video players and tv which would have been handy for our grumpy teenager . the on site supermarket was well stocked although slightly expensive.all meat, bread and veg good standard.unfortunately the fish store was not open which i was disappointed.we found a amazing restaurant on the beach with the most amazing fish food,even my children liked it!.no complaints about the food here! the location of the park is fantastic if you love beach holidays.at this time of year (end of September for 2 weeks) the sea became a little rough for my youngest.the site pool is a great way to idle away the day.the large pool did seem cold the second week,on occasion this was a relief when it got really hot.
the entertainment was a bit disappointing,the bar area was beautiful and again expensive,but hey your on holiday! restaurant on site was ok .everything was spotless clean.
the weekends were interesting as all the Catalonia holiday makers descended .great entertainment.hospitalities were short in near by cambrils where we spent half a day looking for a bank that cashed travel cheques.i can only guess the locals had enough of the tourists, we did experience really rude people! .overall, we met some wonderfull people and had a very
restfull time.i personally would not choose to go in the peak months i would imagine it could be very crowded around the pool and quite noisy around the acommodation.

myself, hubby and boys aged 8 and 15 stayed at playa-montroig at the beginning of September 2008 last year.i must say key camp and euro camp reps worked wonderfully together,nothing was a trouble to them.the accommodation prestige, very clean and comfortable.wonderful veranda to sit out in the balmy evenings enjoying the barbeque and a glass of wine supplied by the well stoked supermarket.the beach is a walk through the park lined with large pine trees and perfumed flowers.the site is exceptiona ...
