I have purchased two MY X6-2 mobile telephones and the first one would not charge properly and the second the key 7-pqrs and 8tuv plus the space bar do not work. I have no address therefore I am unable to return them to Sagem. I purchased these without insurance through Utility Warehouse. I have now bought another phone. I do therefore not recommend the Sagem MYX-5 as I have not bought another mobile phone.

I got this Sagem MY X-5 phone purely after looking at the features. With hindsight, I wouldn't of, it is very unreliable in terms of battery life, I have had several batteries, and two replacement phones. Nothing makes a difference and I have resigned myself to having to charge it every evening (I'm in a low signal area, so that may have something to do with it)
Despite having the phone a year, I haven't found any of the interchangeable covers I've heard about, the data cable I got was the only thing I found.. The problem is, no software seems to connect to the phone ARRRGGGHHH!!!!
I'm getting shot of this phone this week, and it can't come to soon!!!

I cant belive how many people say the Sagem MY X-5 phone is good, as it isn't. You cant find any thing for it and even if you do if you are with virgin you can't get them anyway, you have to call up because the whole virgin network is messed up(it wont let you text for ringtones or anything) you can't download polyphonic ringtones I would recommend a nokia because that is what everything is made for

Is it only me?
Or does anyone else suffer, horrible ear pain from these phones?
Granted, it has the 'loud speaker' .Which I have resorted to. just to get the thing as far from my head as possible. But generally, I fear there is something unregulated about the amount of radiation these things put out.
Please can we have a rating for pain put on this site?

You said that you suffered ear pain because of this phone. I think you should see a doctor, because you might have a disease. The phone is not the cause of your ear pain. The speaker has a volume setting that you can adjust by pressing the left or right button just below the display (if is to loud you can press the left button) while you talk. The level of radiation at maximum power is 0,64 W/kg while the maximum limit admited by the Council of Europe is 2 W/kg.

Despite the huge interest in this colour phone {Due to the really low price of it, as it costs around £40} Its really nothing to get excited about The sagem really doesn't do anything special. Plus it has appauling sound and reception compared to the competing colourscreen phones. And you've got to ask yourself, what is the point in having a colour phone WITHOUT standard mms {a poor and incopatible version} and WITHOUT a camera, If your wanting cutting edge colour, go with the Panasonic or one of the Sharp phones. Navigation is pretty good. But 256 colour graphic display means that the colours aren't all that great. Nice ringtones though, overall a bellow average colour phone which attracts people with the colour before the realise its rubbish. Sorry folks, it's true!

Errr Hello? Its a £140 colour screen phone so what do you expect? In my opinion it's still better than the Samsung T100 that costs double the price (although the T100 does have a better screen)

Firstly, if you're unerrating it because the price doesn't make it feel like a "good" phone, then you're stupid. Also, if we wanted a camera in a phone, we'd buy a camera. Phones are always thinking of extras first and calling second. Luckily, this phone doesn't and STILL has the best features. It is without a doubt the most customisable phone EVER. This is why I hesitated to buy a Nokia, I didn't want a phone evryone else had, and I'm glad I did hesitate. I don't want to be carrying the same phone as my friend (3310 people will know this) so I bought this phone, and I've never found ONE fault. I make my own tones wallpaper e.t.c. and they're fine. The sheer ignorance of you makes me laugh. You probably never even owned this phone. You prbably read a review of it, and made an opinion judging on other people's thought.

This for me is the best phone on the market for the price at the minute it has loads of functions the ring tones are great maybe the colours could be better on the screen but you have to remember this phone is half the price of the t-100 and in comparison I would rather have the sagem and at least the stanby time is good unlike 60 hours on the t-100

I can't believe that you are under rating this phone so much. It's got great features and most important of all it isn't owned by every single person in the UK. I can't understand why everyone buys nokias when you can get a quility phone like the sagem and great value too.

My X-5 does nothing special?? How about the ability to have absolutely any sound you can record on your computer as a ring tone? How about the ability to have any image you want as wallpaper? And how about some pretty funky screensavers - you can add new ones as gifs. Poor sound and reception? Hello? I didn't want a phone with a camera, especially as you still have to pay a fortune in the shops and when you get your phone bill. What I did want was a modern handset that wasn't owned by every Tom, Dick and Harry. And Orange had it - for free.

Im on my second mobile now and both phones indicate strong signals but dont hold onto the network - result that you cant receive or make any calls or texts. I also have a problem in that some text messages received send the phone into a cycle where it says it is sorting text messages and the only way to make it stop is to remove the battery which is not too handy. There have also been occasions when the phone will end calls after about a minute and has resulted in me being forced to use a call box. Its a feature packed phone for the price but whats the point in having it if it doesnt work?

You would be surprised what you can find if you look around. Try mysagem.co.uk for ringtones wall papers and screen savers. There is also the sagem website itself
