outside decking was terrible, the wood was rotton, front door was not safe and could of been broken in to, windows had peeling paint inside and out and were very drafty, toilet door was a folding one and was dangerous, you can hear the people next door talking!, the chalet was very old fashioned throughout. We booked this site as we had noticed that many of the mainland campsites had increased their prices this year, capitalising on the fact that more people were holidaying in the UK this year, while Whitecliff Bay was offering two weeks for 6 people for £399 including the ferry crossing, which we felt was very reasonable. The ferry was great, and the kids really felt like we were going abroad, and the view as you go in to Cowes is spectacular! The campsite itself is only ½ hour from the... (read more)

Stayed here for a week end of august 2011 on a serviced pitch with my partner, 8 year old and 1 year old daughter. On arrival we were waiting for atleast half an hour before being given our pitch, which was just showed to us on a map and off we were sent. The pitch was very small with only a small trailors width between us and our neighbours, who luckily were very pleasent and understanding. Before we had even fully unpacked our tent we was rudely told to move our are tent more towards the... (read more)

Whitecliff Holiday Park Value Chalet Like many on here we read the reviews and were a bit concerned about what we were letting ourselves in for! Especially with having a 4 month old and a 4 year old in pur party. Booked as a sun break Chalet was dated but comfartable and clean and it is obvious that they are renovating them. We did have a problem with the kettle and fridge went to guest services and it was dealt with within the hour (If you dont ask you dont get) Used the Nab Bar food was... (read more)

we booked a Sun holiday @ Whitecliff Bay and after reading the reviews on here, I really didn't want to go!
The chalet was a bit dated but it was clean and all the bedding provided was clean and smelt clean. All the crockery/cutlery was clean and my only gripe was that we were quite close to where the evening disco was and it kept us awake. We only used the park as a base as we spent the entire holiday out and about so can't comment on the park resources. We did try the bar/restaurant and...

after visiting wightcliff for about 20 years we have now found that it is just to expensive to visit.
quality, entertainment and quality of accomodation have gone downhill since the takover of the new company.
we found over £1000 for a top range caravan for a week just ludicres.and staff attitudes have gone downhill, used to be the customer is paramount.

I've just got back from my second holiday at Whitecliff Bay and wanted to add my review as I was warned by a family member that there were loads of negative reviews on here.
Last year we stayed in a value chalet on a Sun weekend break and I would agree that the accomodation could have been improved. If you are just looking for a base and aren't too fussy then it's fine, and the space available in the chalets is great if, like us, you've got young children. The interior is dated and the...

We stayed in totally unsatisfactory accommodation and had an 8 month old baby. The smoke alarm was hanging off, there was a mirror on the floor in the living room it was a smelly dark chalet and pretty horrible. The cot did not fit in the bedroom but the staff never mentioned this from the time of booking.
Staff in guest services were not too friendly or sympathetic to our complaints and I spent my holiday moving between hotels and the park to as no other accommodation was available. Spoke...

(taking out their hanging baskets in the process!). Paid extra for a pitch "with a view", there was no view only of the caravans behind, because of the size of us they had to put us on the pitch backwards which you would only get onto with a 4x4 (thank god we had one!!). Site was a complete shabbles, no spaces between pitches, no... (read more)

We knew exactly what we were getting. An older chalet with superb views. It wasnt new but was clean and fully functional. There is on going investment as the new owners are taking this product out of the 1960s into the 21st century. I have only put a single star on this site beacuse I had to get a rating on! I wouldn't give it anything. It has the most awful, smelly, stained, dated, decrepit, dangerous, outdated, flea ridden chalets I have ever paid to stay in. Never, ever, have I seen anything like these. You are told by staff that these are 'value' chalets, what value? They cost us £712. Hardly value.
WARNING: STAY HERE AT YOUR OWN RISK. THE OWNERS DON'T GIVE A DAMN!

On arrival at the Whitecliff Holiday Park we were directed to the club to pick up the keys, when I walked in it smelt of beer and smoke, just like an old mans pub, so dated it was like walking back in time.
We went to find our Chalet (shed) and could not believe our eyes the state of them (by this time we wanted to turn around and go home), we got out of the car and the neighbour said "it doesn't get any better inside."

Such a shame used to be a lovely place to go.
Half term is a complete disorganised mess.
Tents and cravans are packed together with no space for children to play.
Health and safety I am sure would have an issue with this.
Hopefully the owners will take on board these issues and constructively organise the camp site better.

This is the first time writing a review and felt compelled to do so because this was the worst campsite i have ever been too.
We were on a Sun holiday and have been many over the years and gone to lots of different places, so to come to a camp site so awful surprised us.

We were on a Sun holiday break, as were many others staying at the site, so will also be letting them know how we feel. We have been on other Sun breaks and can honestly say this is the worst site we have stayed at. This previously successful holiday park was taken over last year by new owners who seem to have got rid of all the previous staff, cannot keep hold of any of the new staff and show no concept of competence in running a holiday park or public bar.
There is no attempt to please visitors whatsoever and everyone who has spoken to us have been disgusted with the state of the place. Many of them, like us, are returning customers from before the takeover.

Just returned from Whitecliff bay, this could be a real gem of a holiday camp due to location, however it is completely run down, dirty and badly in need of refurbisment everywhere you go(Bar,pool,Arcade,Clubhouse).
Stayed on the campsite and although the shower blocks had apparently had a facelift you couldn't tell, they were dirty, moldy and only cleaned once a day. Toilet paper, grime and water were everywhere!!

Just got back from camping at Whitecliff Bay and was very disappointed.
The cleanliness of the shower block was appalling as were the toilets, sinks, clubhouse & the changing facilities at the swimming pool.
The floor of the shower blocks were always covered in hair & grime, even after a jetwash clean that they supposedly carried out!!

Staff very nice.
