We have recently returned from a weeks stay at the above mentioned site. We stayed in one of the Brick Chalets on site, and i must say for the price we paid "WHAT A FANTASTIC" holiday we had. Having read some concerning reviews, we agree the new owners need to spend some cash on the place. Looks like the previous owners didnt spend a penny for a good few years. Needless to say WE WILL BE RETURNING NEXT YEAR. Thanks Bear the kids loved your shows.

Whitecliff Bay Holiday Park has a location to die for! Gorgeous almost private beach, including a fabulous beach cafe.The scenery is breathtaking, take a walk up to the monument on the cliff, stunning views alround, and there is a pub up there!
Caravan was very clean and comfortable, beds were all made up ready.Outdoor pool has great views across the bay and the nabb bar and resturant next to it,so very convenient for meals, drinks and icecreams.Very affordable breakfast and 2-4-tenner meals, yo ...- Read julihill's review (135 words and 1 comment)

This previously successful holiday park was taken over last year by new owners who seem to have got rid of all the previous staff, cannot keep hold of any of the new staff and show no concept of competence in running a holiday park or public bar.
There is no attempt to please visitors whatsoever and everyone who has spoken to us have been disgusted with the state of the place. Many of them, like us, are returning customers from before the takeover.
Multiple price increases this season, despite t ...- Read tiggybear1's review (333 words)

Whitecliff bay is the worst holiday camp I have ever been to. We stayed in a very smelly and damp chalet..the paint was peeling off the front door..with a gap in the bottom of the door where the wind whistled in. The carpets were stained and smelly ,the inside door mats were curled up at the edges...dirt all over the carpets which were thread bare...The bath was stained...their were cobwebs and spiders everywhere..the beds were out of the ark...the cutlery didn't match ..the light didn't work in ...- Read jonpop's review (333 words)

Could not rate the Whitecliff Bay Caravan Bembridge site, paid extra for chalet because we own caravan. The rooms smell it was not clean, the club was unfriendly, expensive. Nice beach pool was never open, island was lovely but as for roads watch the pot holes there a lot of them.- Read angelawhisky's review (51 words)

Just returned from Whitecliff bay, this could be a real gem of a holiday camp due to location, however it is completely run down, dirty and badly in need of refurbisment everywhere you go(Bar,pool,Arcade,Clubhouse).
Stayed on the campsite and although the shower blocks had apparently had a facelift you couldn't tell, they were dirty,moldy and only cleaned once a day. Toilet paper, grime and water were everywhere!!
The Isle of wight is lovely but wouldn't return here until it had been bashed down ...- Read Guest's review (111 words)

Just got back from camping at Whitecliff Bay and was very disappointed.
The cleanliness of the shower block was appalling as were the toilets, sinks, clubhouse & the changing facilities at the swimming pool.
The floor of the shower blocks were always covered in hair & grime, even after a jetwash clean that they supposedly carried out!!
The swimming pool was far too small for the size of the site, only had 1 shower and a small changing area and was too far for the kids to go on their own - es ...- Read AliGuest's review (281 words)

Whitecliff Bay Caravan Bembridge used to be a lovely place to stay but I am afraid it has gone downhill badly with the new ownership I only have stayed on the campimg site but it is not being looked after the toilets and showers are filthy most of the time and with shortage of staff you do not have the happy welcome that you used to have it is a pity as it was a beautifull if slightly old fashioned camp now it is scruffy and dirty. overcrowded with groups of loud youths.- Read Guest's review (93 words)

just returned from Whitecliff Bay and me and my son had a blast....as with everything you pay for you can always find a problem... i.e the bar in the club house is in a serious need of a very good clean it smelt of sick and stale beer but it did not put me off my holiday...i found the staff on reception to be very helpfull and the staff in the shop not to be helpfull so i only went to the shop once. the entertainment staff were ok.. the staff in the nab bar are the more friendly of the the bar s ...- Read freaky dancer's review (155 words)

My husband and my eldest son suffer from asthma so the musty smell and overall hygiene of the place was a real concern. My eldest son was devastated by the look of the place and refused point blank to stay there. Need to say we complained to reception, who didn't seem at all bothered and took the next available ferry back home. All in all a real disappointed. We went to this site via the Sun £9.50 holiday offer and whilst I appreciate that we would not have had four star accommodation, ...- Read Guest's review (182 words)

Close to most of the main visitor attractions. Good size outdoor pool.
It's Close to a small airport so expect some plane noise as they fly very close to the chalets located near the shop.- Read Guest's review (177 words)

This was our second year running at Whitecliff bay, this time we were in a detached chalet which was excellent and opposite the adventure playground, plenty of room inside for 2 adults and 2 children, kids entertainment good and the shows were varied for the adults.- Read cpv1's review (84 words)

The bedroom was very outdated and the only way we could stop the back door from rattling was to put a folded bit of paper down the side.
But the biggest problem was the builders and the lack of care from reception staff when any comment was made.- Read Guest's review (118 words)

Visited last year and was disappointed to find that cleanliness of showers and toilets had gone downhill. Kids enjoyed the entertainment, though some staff lacked the sparkle that the ones last year had. If you want a great welcome and meal then go to the Propellor Inn, the staff there are great.- Read Guest's review (69 words)

Overall, we choose Whitecliff Bay Caravan site because of reviews that we found on websites similar to this. I just feel that they are a little misleading. August 2008- Read Guest's review (77 words)

Whitecliff Bay Caravan site was recommended to me by a friend who came here 4 years ago.
Well it's now under new management, and it's going downhill BADLY in my opinion.
GOOD POINTS;
Camping pitches very big (10m x 10m)
Indoor and outdoor swimming pools. Sauna, sunbed room, hair salon
Staff very nice.
3 bars, 1 take away, carvery; main entertainment hall + 1 small hall plus another above the indoor pool (but this was always closed).
BAD POINTS;
Campsite on the other side of main road to main par ...- Read happycamp007's review (286 words)

I have been going on caravan holiday for the past ten years and was very disappointed. I felt the cabin was very over priced and did not have very good sleeping conditions for my little girl. When asked if there was any other cabins available I was told to put my daughters travel cot in the lounge with unsecured doors so I was very disappointed.- Read ALANFOSTER's review (100 words)
