“Can't fault the place.”

Written on: 07/07/2014 by GarySu (3 reviews written)

I've eaten in many, many Toby carverys from Edinburgh to Exeter as I travel Britain alot. I have to say that with the , very odd, exception I have always found the staff, buildings and food to be of the highest quality.. The value for money is excellent also. Monday to Saturday is the best value at £5.99 for an all you can eat. I defy anyone to find better food at a better price… Read Full Review

“Roast dinner without the cooking & cleaning”

Written on: 24/04/2014 by JennyW143 (1 review written)

Very tasty roast dinner lovely staff and if you sign up at their site you get coupons to eat cheaper. We go to Whitwebbs in Enfield it has great food and a great setting and the desserts are really scrummy. Last time we had to wait a while which was a bit of a pain, although it was worth the wait a 2 course dinner for £6-50 a head is pretty good value in my books… Read Full Review

“My Experience”

Written on: 12/04/2014 by 285Spears (1 review written)

I have visited 3 Toby Carvery's (Warrington, Widnes, and Lowton) and the location hasn't affected how appalling the food and service is. The meat is stone cold, and served as wafer thin slices... The peas are like bullets...the carrots are like mush because they have been over boiled... The yorkshite pudding is the only way to describe that monstrosity served... The stuffing was like a freezing cold ball of god knows what... And not to mention the brown water they call gravy. This is the last… Read Full Review

“Over priced for the food served (hemel hempstead branch)”

I visited the hemel toby carvery and the plate of food i had was definately not worth the £10 they charge. The beef was not meat, just fat. But the staff were lovely and very friendly… Read Full Review

“Terrific Toby Carvery.”

Written on: 04/02/2013 by Papa_Lush (18 reviews written)

I have been visiting Toby Carvery since I was a child and have never been disappointed, very nice food, and the desserts are always a delight. The customer service is excellent, as oppose to some restaurants I've visited where the waiters look as if they want to kill you. The Carvery however, is a personal favourite of mine, and I go back every couple of weeks. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to a friend, and have done so in the past. Good luck in your endeavors. Signed, Papa Lush… Read Full Review

“Outstanding customer service”

Written on: 14/11/2012 by LandOfConfusion (2 reviews written)

Never tried a carvery before but heard good reviews from a friend so we decided to give the restaurant in Badger's Mount, Sevenoaks a try. First the negatives: Our only real issue is the amount of meat you get from the carvery. With only one shot at it you have to fill up on the self-service vegetables to justify the price (£5 with one of their website coupons). But other than that our experience was excellent, with the service from the waiter being the best I've had from any restaurant. As… Read Full Review

“I love Toby!”

Written on: 15/04/2012

I love Toby Carvery. I've been to three, two in my local area, and one in nottingham and I just love it. The deals are great, you can get free vouchers from their website and the service is always lovely. Always a choice of tastey food, always leave feeling full and satisfied. During peak times there can be waits for tables, possibly ques for the carvery, but I hardly ever experience this and when I do, I dont mind because the food is so tastey. Might not be everyones cup of tea but its great… Read Full Review

“Varies depending on which one you go to.”

Written on: 19/12/2011 by Handymanz (4 reviews written)

I've been to most of the Toby carveries in the Bournemouth Poole area, they pretty much do what they say on the tin, relatively cheap and cheerful roastie with normally good portions. Fleetsbridge in Poole is normally pretty good, as is the one at the Cooper Dean, the one on the Wimborne Road near Kinson though is dire and should be missed. It is tatty and very dirty particularly the toilets. The carver seemed to be a bit mean with the meat portions and the vegetable area was half empty so I… Read Full Review

“Car Park Madness”

Written on: 14/11/2011

Recently on our visit to the carvery our experience was ruined when we had an incident with the kerb on the entrance which is un seeable from the drivers point of veiw an dwhen we complained about he fact that our car was damaged and our 8 month old daughter was upset and distressed by the whole ordeal we were told that the issue was a well known fact and nothing had been done and that a serious injury would have to occur before anything was done… Read Full Review

“Friendliest place I've ever eaten”

Written on: 04/08/2011

I've never eaten in a chain with such friendly staff! No matter which one we go to (we travel the country a lot) the staff are always friendly, chatty and nice. Nothing is too much trouble for them. Normally you have one or two people like this in restaurants and the rest are grumpy and hate their job but Toby Carvey seem to go out of their way to find nice people to employ. The food is great, I crave it all month, but there could be slightly more choice and the mash is always hard. That being… Read Full Review
