Blowfish in San Francisco used to be great - it used to be my favourite restaurant in the world and is the place that got me hooked on sushi. However since they changed management a couple of years ago they haven't been quite so stunning. Don't get me wrong the food is still delicious and the atmosphere is fab. They play manga catoons on big tvs among the low level lighting and chocolate and bamboo furniture. However we have noticed a decrease in portion size and an increase in cost. If there is one thing San Francisco has a few of it is fantastic sushi restaurants and so i think it's definitely a bad move to allow what was the best of the bunch to decline so much - now i prefer Tokyo Go Go in the Mission. If you go to Blowfish (Sushi to die for) Get the sashimi platter - it comes out on a platter that apprears to be smoking as it is filled with dry ice. Also their green tea cheesecake is one of my favourite desserts. Ever.
