“SPICEJET - RIDICULOUS”

I had my flight from hyderabad to kolkata SG 674 on 19th Dec 11:30 PM. Spicejet sent 3 messages starting 10PM till 1AM saying flight will be delayed from 12:30 to 2:30 to 3:30. Then at 2AM, the staff member said flight is cancelled due to bad weather and they don't have any other alternate. Although, all other flights were going in and out of Kolkata airport. 160 passengers were stranded at hyd airport. Manager came at 4:30AM and promised he will arrange flight at 3PM next day. All of us waited the whole night at airport. Next day at 11AM, manager comes at 25D gate and said,the 3PM flight delayed till 8PM atleast. This is inhuman. Few guys had interviews, connecting flights. One women had to go kolkata to see her dead father's body. You guys have no sympathy for passengers. While exiting the airport, I met atleast 3 other passengers of different destinations whose flights were cancelled/delayed for 10hours by spicejet All my plans were runied, and I wasted a lot of time and energy because of you. This was the most pathetic experience of my life and other 159 passengers. Spicejet don't deserve to be in Airline business. Please guys don't book the tickets via SpiceJet EVER EVER EVER again.

“Flight Delayed regularly”

Flight from Madurai to Chennai 609 delayed for multiple consecutive days and no real explanation provided by ground staff. No assistance what so ever to passengers who had connecting flights or other appointments. Check-in staff were also in considerate in luggage charges and other incidentals. Fortunately, I will not write any further reviews on Spicejet as I have other good choices to consider when I have to fly from Madurai to Chennai.

“Disgraceful Customer Service”

Booked a flight online with Spicejet that failed on the last screen, no email was ever sent. Phoned them up to check what was happening, the customer service representative (if that's what you can call them) assured me the transaction had failed. When I checked my account a few days later they had taken the money even though I had no tickets or even any booking number. Now, nearly six weeks later and with numerous phone calls and emails I am at a stand still. They are not replying to anything. Absolutely gutted that a company in this day and age can take from you in this way and seemingly not care about it.

“FLIGHT CANCELLED AND NO FULL REFUND...TERRIBLE AIRLINE”

Was supposed to fly with spice jet Mumbai- Bagdogra, but they decided to cancel the flight due to less passengers and offered me another flight but unfortunately nothing suited my transit time since I was landing from London the same day. I wasn't very upset till then and decided to book with some other airline but they refused to give me a full refund. The staff explained to me that they have to pay some internet charges but that is not my problem since it was the company's decision to cancel the flight and not mine. This is utterly nonsense and whatsoever I did not receive my full refund. It is ridiculous. Very very bad airline company. I will never again use this airline and not recommended it to anyone unless you want to land up with no choice and no money because of course they are going to charge you even if it is the fault on their part.

“Never book a Spicejet flight”

Recently our flight got cancelled after rescheduling the flight time. We were asked to contact call centre for rebooking. Callcenter people not receiving any calls nor is there anyone in Spicejet customer care who can guide us or help us in this. I would say never travel on Spicejet. It is pathetic.

“Worst service airline”

Spice jet is the worst customer service ever I have experienced, I have traveled many countries in many airlines. But spice jet customer care especially check in desk treat the customers like illiterate, and as trash. I flew in spice jet 5 times domestic and international and my husband flew countless time due to they were bit cheap fare than other airline at that time. Not a single time we both experienced a decent service. I would never recommend or fly this Spice Jet again.

“Cancelled flight and awful service”

I have booked the SpiceJet flight from Lucknow to Hyderabad to travel on 5th March 2014. The booking was done on 25th Dec 2013. On 28th Feb, I received just a SMS mentioning the flight from Lucknow has been cancelled due to operation reason and ask me call at their call centre to rebook the flight. When I called, I was given two options 1. Either travel a day before or a day later - I mentioned that it is not possible for me owing to my personal and professional commitments. 2. Take the full refund - I mentioned that I have to travel on 5th Mar 2014 and if I take the refund and book flight from another airlines, who will pay for the difference in fare (which obviously is their responsibily as the flight has been cancelled from their side). To this they mentioned that it is not their responsibility. 3. Take a flight on same day from Varanasi instead of Lucknow - Varanasi is around 287 KM from Lucknow. In order to catch a flight from Varanasi, I have to start at least 8 hrs prior to my flight time apart from spending like 5 thousand rupees in booking a cab. I have requested them to provide the below option To book a different flight (indigo or jet) from Lucknow to Delhi and then I board the same flight from Delhi to Hyderabad, which I had already booked. This option has not been agreed upon by them. Details are 1. PNR - ZBK7TA 2. Date of Travel - 5th March 2014 3. Date of Booking - 25th Dec 2013 4. From - Lucknow 5. To - Hyderabad 6. Flight Details - SG 518/SG 221 Please let me know how to go ahead with this issue. Thank you. Regards Deepankur

“Cancelled flights.”

I booked my tickets months in advance and now with only a month to go I have been told that the flight is cancelled. The customer service wait time is long and they are unable to tell me why the flight from BOM-MAA-TRZ has been cancelled. I now have to book on another airline and pay 2000 rupees more.

“Worst airlines ever”

I made a return trip booking with spice jet from Bangalore to Delhi. On both the occasions my flight was delayed by 3 hours. The reason they said was "Due to late arrival of aircraft". This was in April 2013. Since this three hour delay did not affected me at that time and and also technical problems can happen at any time, so I gave them another chance with my booking in October. But in October I had to catch a train after the flight, When I reached airport,the flight was again delayed by 2 hours and the reason "Due to late arrival of aircraft". I was shocked.This delay put me in a possibility of missing my train. This 2 hour delay turned into a 4 hour delay and SpiceJet made sure that I was in no position to catch my train. Later I came to know that one of my friend had gone through same experience. How can SpiceJet demand same amount of fare as other reliable airlines when their service is so poor. I don't know whether I am the only one unlucky to have this sort of experience thrice or SpiceJet works like that only. I will never EVER travel by SPICEJET again. And shame on you for quoting the same price for your horrible services.

“Never fly”

Dont ever fly in spicejet they are the cheaters I flew from srilanka to chennai and my connecting to Coimbatore got the boarding pass but they off loaded me bcz it was deepavail festival time and they had issued my seat to a vip and they didnot have the courtesy to refund the money or issue another ticket and they cunningly spoke saying if I give my boarding pass only they will give my baggages and since I am not a person to fight I got a fresh ticket from jet airways but this should not happen to a international traveller latter I heard from a person standing next to me in the airport that they sold that ticket for 12000 while the cost of the ticket was only 5000 rs. I am very sad such things are happening bcz I made so many complaints and spoke to the head office but no response Iam a frequent traveller and from that day I make sure I never take spicejet to any of my sectors..after issuing the boarding pass and checking in all the baggages offloading a passenger will never happen in any airline they will give many excuses saying that they called my name I didnot response but all lies I was seated just there and it was very important for me to go to Coimbatore. So don't believe them never fly in spicejet afterwards I heard so many stories like this so please be alert.

“Never send an unaccompanied minor by Spice Jet”

Hi, This is in reference to the travel made on 28th April 2013 by an Unaccompaied Minor. While booking the ticket through spice jet customer service(which obviously doesnt happen online since that option itself is not there!)for an unaccompanied minor, the representative had convinced & committed for taking the utmost safety and care of the minor traveller. Based on which the booking was done. The respective charges were paid - extra for minor traveller, extra for booking online, extra for using credit card etc. On the day of travel, when we approached the spice jet counter, we filled in the UNMR form promptly. A spicejet representative came to accompany the child for further airport process. In this whole process, no one from spicejet asked for the identity of the person who would be picking the kid at the destination airport. How in this big bad world can u just handover the child just because he has a "Government" ID proof. AAnyone can carry a ID with the same particular name and number mentioned by us. Spicejet never asked for a photo ID from us for cross referencing with the id produced by the person coming to pick up. On asking, the supevisor told that, that is not there in the process. This was really ridiculous. On my persistent questioning and asking for a logic behind this whole "spicejet" process, the supervisor agreed that before handing over the kid, the spicejet representative will call and confirm with the parent. Based on the commitment given, we sent the kid. The guy took him at the entrance of the main lobby beyond which non passengers are not allowed. We were watching from a distance. the spice jet representative had not even bothered to check what documents were required. He did not have the basic ticket of the minor passenger!! and the security asked for age proof! again we had to rush and give him the required documents. finally the kid was sent. In this whole process, the tension and the fear of sending a child alone was so surmounting with such cusstomer service from spice jet. At the end of a torturous one and half hour travel time, the person who was committed to pick up the kid called and told about the safe arrival. The spicejet representative never ever called inspite of the commitment given at the port of embarkation. WHY?? Is this fair? How can spicejet play with people like this? if u are not professional enough or dont have a proper process in place then please dont offer such services at all.

flight was cancelled and we were not notified whatsoever- no SMS, no email, no call. We got to the airport only to realize NO passangers were notified. Upon arrival, Spicejet representatives were found SCREAMING uncontrollably at passangers who only wanted to know why they were not notified. This flight was supposed to be one month ago, and they claimed they have me a refund, but my bank statements do not show any refunds to date. doesn't offer free water on flights 4 hours long. Seat space minimal.

“A shady way of conducting business”

A warning to all foreign travelers...and other potential clients of Spicejet. On february 1st 2013,I purchased a flight Trivandrum / Mumbai at the ticket counter at Trivandrum Airport. It was unfortunate that I had to cancel the trip on that same day and was told by that same agent who sold me the ticket that within 15 days I would get a full refund minus a 1500 rupees penalty (no objection to that) I lost count on the number of e mails exchanged with the head office,all of them assuring me of their best attention at all times but sadly never materializing into what I am entitled for. I had to cancel a flight with Sri Lankan Airlines on that same day and got a refund within 10 days. It is obvious to me Spicejet has a shady way of conducting business.So be warned !

“Damaged Bag received”

It was really terrible experience travelling with spicejet. I was travelling from Bangalore to Mumbai.I checked in My bag at Bangalore airport....and when I received my bag at Mumbai airport.I found that it was without it's handles...could you believe it they actually removed the handles of my bag...making it really difficult to carry...and when I complaint the incident to the Baggage counter they just blamed the incident to the Bangalore spicejet authorities...they even refused to register any complain.It was a shameless act on part of the airlines.I think no bag is safe when its is checked in by spicejet.

unprofessional,rude,litterally rip off approach to business,they do not listen to customer,flew from Delhi to Jammu Feb 24th 2012 and back March 16th, the worst experience ever, not sure how can they stay in business like this, will never travel on Spice again.

“Spicejet-Worst ground management”

Spicejet has the worst ground management at the Bengaluru Airport. The Manager has no manners of how to interact with the customers. They forget that that fliers pay for their ticket and they don't. A bunch of liars, rude, arrogant people. Can't handle their customers queries at all. They just try to cover up with vague answers, it's like banging your head against a wall. It would be good for the airlines if they hire good communicators and better managers. Flight gates shut 30mins before the departure, amazing isn't it? people have never traveled in a flight before then. How can a manager give such a stupid answer, flight gates shut 10 mins prior to departure not 30 to 40 mins before. Manager says even if you pay me a lac i can't let you board this flight, Hello get yourself trained on how to communicate with the customer, what kind of behavior is this. The MANAGER who proudly stated i am the head here, nobody is superior to me, says i can't shift you to the next flight as there are no seats available.After 15 minutes when i address another supervisor she replies there were seats available in the next flight i could have shifted you there. So the staff doesn't know themselves whether there is availability or not. The ground staff reschedules a ticket for another passenger traveling to some other city for free, no rescheduling cost even. Lucky Him. Whereas tickets for the afternoon flight for me was on a rise from 6000 to 9500 in half an hour. Acceptable. But the website shows that the ticket prices are still cheap.The tickets were cheaper on the website than the airport though they kept claiming that the ticket price at the airport was the correct one, so it is useless having a website then, isn't it? despite of showing it to the manager on the phone, he says i am wrong. CUSTOMER ARE BLIND OR DUMB, IS THAT WHAT YOU THINK SPICEJET AIRLINES? Manager says i am wasting their time since morning, hello you don't let me board the flight, don't reschedule my tickets, aren't co-operative, say i am being stupid when i argue that the tickets price are cheaper on the website. I have nothing at all to comment about this "GREAT AIRLINES" then. One shouldn't even think of traveling with airlines, pay a thousand buck extra for other airlines but avoid traveling in this one. Despite of being a regular flier of this airline, after this experience i would prefer paying extra bucks in other airlines rather than traveling in this one. If this is how an airline staff treat their customers, then gosh i have nothing to say. KEEP DOING THE GOOD WORK SPICEJET I AM SURE PEOPLE ARE GONNA LOVE YOU FOR IT.. Kindly train your staff with their communication skills, and ask them to be polite to their customers. If they handle stress at work, THEN KINDLY ASK THEM TO STAY "HOME", BECAUSE THAT'S THE PLACE THAT'S SUIT THEM THE BEST. REMEMBER WE, THE FLIERS PAY FOR OUR TICKETS, THEY DON'T.

“TIME CHANGING PROBLEM FREQUENTLY. how get connecting...”

on 31st july 2011 i need to travel from madurai to chennai.i had a flight from chennai to singapore at 21.15hrs.so i booked on spicejet for convienient timing. i received a sms about flight time changed from 18.40 to 20.00 hrs. i got another problem at check in counter. i had my luggage for 34 kg including hand luggage. because i should fly to foreign and next flight allowed me to carry this weigh. but counter peoples not accepted this weight . thek asked my to pay 500 rupees gor 5kg. i fought for this issue. because most of the domestic passengers carrying less than 20 kg. so they can accept more weight to foreign traveller. but they were adamantly fixed 300 rupees for the trip. then i told them thai this was my last trip in SPICE JET. but they ignored this warning and continued their duty. after completed the checkin they changed the flight timing again to 20.15. i lost my hope about my next flight. i received the baggage after 25 mins. i rushed into chennai international airport . they announced gate open calling, when i finished my final cheching. i not wasted one minute also after landed chennai. is the SPICE JET made one more 15 min i could not caught my flight.
