Bad Points: Heavy going - but MySQL isn't easy !
General comments: MySQL Developer's Library is an essential guide to MySQL databases
Explains interfacing with PHP and Perl. I have three books on MySQL (relational database) and having my own webpage with a forum and photo portfolio, I am using two MySQL databases. One with PHP (forum) the Gallery using PERL. With this book I was able to tinker further into the interfacing and add custom scripts a lot easier. The latest book not only covers API's for the ones mentioned but also for C language also. This book is a gem and is well thumbed through and will appeal to both newcomers and to seasoned programmers. This guy really knows his stuff and understands the complex areas that need further and more detailed explanation.
