The Hoover does pick up very well and is great in many areas however the problems I have encountered are down to the extended hose which has split twice in 1 year. You think just get a replacement the hose replacement just for the hose is £94 which is disgusting all the other models are around £20-30 to replace. I think they know there is a problem so you have to keep replacing them but at £94 a go I would not recommend this Hoover. The hover cost around £300 to buy but you need another… Read Full Review

Hi, bought this as a replacement for our old dyson [3 years old and fell apart], on the plus side it cleans much better than any dyson, the moterised brushes are super, the minus points are it is very heavy, and as others have said if you do not return it to the locked upright position it looks like it will fall over,i do not like the silly clip that is made to restrain the flex on the handle as it keeps falling out, so pulls on the flex,i was nervous about having a dust bag as these can prove… Read Full Review

Truly dreadful product. Plasticy and feels like its about to fall apart every time you use it. The fundamental problem though is that it blocks easily and unblocking it can be difficult at best. It is quite likely that it will need to back to Miele for service just to unblock it. The other major issue is that it falls over on one side or the other the moment you bring the handle down from the upright. Changing the bags is not easy as you feel that the whole thing will fall apart. This is an… Read Full Review

I already have a Miele cylinder cleaner (because it has a quiet setting, i suffer from tinnitus) and now needed a new upright one for thick pile carpet. I checked the 'which' reviews and decided on the Miele yellow S7210. This cleaner does a great job, as expected from Miele. It has all the settings you need-no superfluous ones just for show-all within easy reach & easy to use, even if you have painful joints like me: brush on/off switch, surface adjustor, and the pipe for the top of the… Read Full Review

This is the second Miele I have owned, the first being a cylinder type which is 20 years old and still working well. I have always found the Miele Company to be very helpful and obliging. I have used Dysons in other people's homes and have found them very "numb" and poorly made, certainly not built to last like Miele. People have commented that the 7210 is very heavy but I have found this outweighed by the easy manouverabilty. I would certainly recommend this model, my carpets, floors… Read Full Review

With 3 cats, 2 teenage sons & a footballing husband, I thought nothing could surpass a Dyson Animal. How wrong I was! Now I've got my Miele I'd NEVER go back to Dyson. The Miele S7210 beats it hands down for suction & ease of cleaning. The onboard tools are straightforward & simple to use & the length of the cable is more than ample. The vacuum & tools are very well designed - no fear of anything breaking or falling off & changing the bag is child's play & clean. No dust flying around… Read Full Review

Badly designed product, having bought this 18 months ago after 3 dysons, i am very disapointed. The little plastic bits at the bottom by the wheels broke off very early on. It's so very difficult to manouver due to its poor balance. For me the only redeeming feature is the suction which is far better than any other machine that i have used. Sadly mine has now packed up completely and i am waiting for Miele to collect it for repair. My less than one month old Miele tumble dryer set on fire the… Read Full Review

We purchased this product 15 months ago mainly because of a good report in the Which? review. Although it cleans well, my wife and I have both found it quite awkward to use. The machine is very heavy and despite the pivoting handle it is not very easy to manoeuvre. Moreover the location and weak action of the on/off switch makes it all too easy to switch off inadvertently. We also experienced the problem of little plastic bits falling off the bottom which was very annoying. We are so… Read Full Review

I have 3 cats & 2 footballers so am frequently vacuuming up chunks of dried mud & clumps of cat hair! Used to have a Dyson but the Miele beats it hands down. It's MUCH more efficient at picking up everything & easy to move from carpet to wooden floor to carpet with the flick switch on the handle. The long flex is great (no more unplugging from room to room). Yes, it's rather heavy but I find that quite reassuring - solidly built to last!
Highly recommended… Read Full Review

This vacuum cleaner is very very heavy and totally unsuitable for a modern home where manoeuvrability is essential. It DOES pick up dust extremely well but this is far outweighed by the difficulty I have had in moving it around. In fact I have had to purchase another cleaner to clean the bedrooms as I cannot carry it up the stairs!
Another issue is that the hose for the tools is very inflexible and short so this make them almost impossible to use. This is my second Miele and the first one (a… Read Full Review

Had this Miele S7210 since June 1st and must say I have mixed feeings about it.The dust pick up is superb and the swivel action between the main body and the base works well in my opinion, especially along the floor/skirting boards beneath radiators. The styling of the machine is impressive and looks well built and robust. The weight is the main issue, although I can live with it, I do not think it suitable for older people or for people with lots of stairs. At just under 10k it is hard work… Read Full Review

Always had Dyson vacuum cleaners, and had reservations about going back to a bagged cleaner. But no need because it's so much better than Dyson! It has much better suction, it gets right up into the corners, I can use it on both my rugs, carpet and hard floor! Unlike my old Dyson, I used to have to use the upright for carpets and the cylinder for the hard floor. It's much quieter than the Dyson too, because it has rubber wheels, unlike the Dyson that clatters across the hard floor! The Miele… Read Full Review

Bought this vaccum cleaner own 2 dysons but they were just not picking up as well as when they were new (5 years and 2 years old )
This miele 7210 is heavy yes but very well made has the feeling of quality that you used to get from buying volkswagon golf cars when they were the best.
Easy to use although heavy the swivel action body/head is brilliant and makes manoevarability easy. Not a vaccum for a weakling true or a frail 90 year old but most average people should cope no problem. The pick… Read Full Review

I really warn anyone thinking of buying this miele s7210 vacuum not to. It is very heavy, cumbersome, unweildy and almost impossible to use without getting severe backpain. It looks nice and isn't noisy but everything else is dreadful. The carpet light broke the second time i used it and it stopped picking up fluff on carpet almost immediately. I am trying to send it back for a refund as I will never be able to use it and my cleaner will not use it as it hurt her wrists so much. Miele were of… Read Full Review

After parting with our dyson, still works fine after four years, we wanted something lighter and easier to use. Research via 'Which' and chose the Miele S7210. We all love the swivel head design and the power. Main difference we immediately noticed was the noise, its so quiet. Only fault i can find are the filter not able to clean the air so you get a 'dusty sock' smell, unlike the Dyson where there was never am after smell. However, would not go back to Dyson!… Read Full Review

A quality product - solidly built, and feels it! The first one we got home didn't work at all, but Miele's customer support was highly efficient, and we had a replacement on the doorstep within a week. Obviously you don't want to deal with the customer support department if you can avoid it, but they were so helpful, it was almost a pleasure to have the problem!
The S7210 is a big beastie, and heavy to lug around, but then it is obviously designed for large areas. On-board hose and nozzle… Read Full Review

Having been through about five different vacuum cleaners in the last four years, I finally cracked and decided to spend a proper amount of money. We bought a Miele washing machine and tumble dryer last year and they have been fantastic - so when saw an upright Miele vacuum I knew I had to buy it, so I bought an S7210.
We needed an upright because we have a lot of carpet to vacuum and doing it with a drag-along is hard work. The variable power setting on the S7210 actually works - at the lower… Read Full Review
