I received Keith Floyd's India as a Christmas present some years ago and I simply love it. The mixture of narrative and recipes really inspire the need to cook the dishes. I even wanted to bring back my own Indian Kandoor oven! You can really read Keith's passion about the food he discovered whilst travelling through India and that is sorely lacking in many modern cook books, where most recipes are contrite, highly fashionable mixtures that might look fancy taste odd. I'm yet to try and make any of the desserts but the curries are superb. It's a great book to have as you can adapt easily any of the recipes to make it your own.

Keith Floyd, Floyd's India contains many recipes that Floyd acquired whilst travelling around India. It is well organised and includes different styles of cooking that he discovered on his travels. He immerses himself in the local lifestyle, meeting local people and exploring the local markets and restaurants for understanding and inspiration. With a huge selection of tasty recipes Floyd really brings a taste of India into your kitchen.- Read minnieme's review (68 words)
