Good Points: Very reliable piece of kit. Setup instructions very clear. On-line help far better than average. Excellent VPN support.
Bad Points: No telephone support from Draytek.
General comments: I bought the Vigor 2600 eventhough I have relied on 3com, Linksys and Netgear kit for many years (and these makes I still regard very highly). However, I was looking for an ADSL modem/wi-fi router that handled VPN network connections (not just VPN pass through) and came across the Draytek Vigor 2600G. This is a wonderful piece of kit. The features are comprehensive and the instructions for setting up are the clearest I know (especially if you need to use VPN).
Draytek themselves do not provide telephone support but personally I don't have a problem with this because they do provide excellent documentation and email support.
Lastly, if you are interested in Voice-over-IP then check out the Draytek Vigor 2600VG.
Note on Vigor naming:
G = wi-fi g
V = VoIP
i = ISND
thus VG = wi-fi and VoIP etc

I've had the Draytek Vigor 2600 (wired version) up and running since Jan 04.
I have enabled port forwarding etc, as I host a small website, and still want to be secure.
It's straight forward setting it up, (although you'll need a PC if you want to dabble with port forwarding/redirection etc).
Touching wood, I haven't had to reboot since installation!
The styling is OK, I have mine wall mounted.
I will be buying the 2600g version as I want to create a VPN so I can log onto my mac in the ...

What do I think of the Vigor 2600. Well, to be honest, nothing. Because after the first 5 minutes it took to take it out of the box, plug in the power cable and the ADSL line and finally the PC's into the 4 LAN ports I never really had to think about it again. The 2600 came to life, lights flashing and I was surfing the internet at never seen before at home speeds! It's been up for months now, always on, always connected and I've never had to think about it. At the moment it buried somewhere und ...

Well, I just got my ADSL connection enabled yesterday, and took delivery of this little beauty, the igor 2600 modem, today. Opened the box, plugged in the cables, installed the seup guide, followed the setup and here I am connected to the internet at > 516K (just downloaded an 18Mb file in minutes :-) .
I haven't even needed to restart my PC yet...
Don't bother with the USB modems, this thing does it properly AND with plenty of other features to keep your little network happy!
