“This boiler is good, ”

Written on: 07/02/2013

This boiler is good i dont know why they get so much bad press. Also they were very fair with me, i paid a £260 fee for them to come out and check my boiler, and gave me a refund of £117 because there was nothing wrong with it, and they only charged the call out fee of £87. They are very fair and i have no complaints. (read more)

“Absolute cr*p tech help line”

Written on: 02/10/2012 by henly1234 (1 review written)

As A Gas safe engineer, I was called to one of these heaps of rubbish this morning needless to say the previous tenant had taken the manual so had to rely on the help line, it cost me nearly £20,00 to talk to these guys due to the fact that they as heatline engineers had to resort to the manual, you could hear the pages russeling, and still didnt get the right info, all I wanted was a comfirmation of my diagnoses as the PCBs for this rubbsh is over £200 quid. NEVER, NEVER put one of these... (read more)

“Pisss poor quality control”

Written on: 30/04/2012 by Huck9999

Where to start? Wrong template included with Monza 24. Showed separate hanger when my model has fixed strips down sides. Also showed the pipes entering at vertical when all on my model entered at right angles. In the end had to measure the flue, work out where the fixings should go and then build the pipes to the boiler - not something recommended on an open building site! Got the unit installed only to find that the gas system leaked so badly that the rooms had to be evacuated. Not... (read more)

“Poor Technical Help”

Written on: 20/03/2012 by Gas_Safe_Heating_Engineer

I'm a gas safe engineer. Heatline are notorious for being cheap to buy and expensive to buy parts for. When you ring up technical help for advice, it's an 0906 number - 60p a minute from landline, considerably more from a mobile. My mobile provider won't actually let me ring 0906 numbers. I tried 4 times to get through but because of the terms of the premium numbers, it'll cut you off rather than let you queue. Theirs is the only technical help service that I know of that charges a premium... (read more)

Most of us believe that you get what you pay for, and Heatline is one of the cheapest boilers on the market.

I repair boilers for a living, and am good enough to be able to give 100% "no cure no pay" guarantee. See link below if you don't believe me.

The heatline boiler are best avoided. I specialise in boiler repairs, and like to believe I am good enough to be able to give 100% "find the fault or you don't pay" guarantee.

Out of the countless makes and models in the U.K. ( around 2000! ) there are only 3 brands that I do not want to get involved with.
Heatline is one of them. Not only are they not exactly the best boiler on the market, the spare parts are absurdly expensive compared to the price of the boiler. (read more)

Our heatline boiler has gone wrong on numerous occasions. Stay well clear. Plumber can not diagnose the faults so end up swapping parts until they stumble across the faulty part.

For another 20% more money get something receommended. (read more)

Load of rubbish, anyone can install 100 or 500 of these but you walk away getting paid, coustomer is ended up wit a piece of metal on the wall. I would as a gas safe engineer be totally embarased to admitting to have fitted hundreds of heatline boilers. obviously desperate to undercut the rest of us by fitting nearly the most cheapest boiler on the market. I even spoke to manufactures and they told me u get what you pay for!!!! Please note i have looked and repaired 100's of boilers and... (read more)

I found this review very helpful because it just confirms everything I've heard about Heatline, I have already bought my Vizo 24 boiler and it's up on the wall so a bit late to take back, but I think it would be worth taking out a British Gas service plan for when it breaks down. thanks

Written on: 01/01/2011 by Liveseys Gas (1 review written)

As a Gas Safe engineer i have installed approx 100 of these boilers. They are very reliable, exellent value and easy to operate. The poor ratings are due to being installed badly on a dirty system.Cheap boilers are often installed on the cheap. Installed correctly they are as good as the next. We also install Worcester, Baxi, Ferroli and many other makes and every now and again regardless of make, a fault will occur within the first few months or sometimes straight from the box. The heatline... (read more)

Heatline boilers are as cheap as chips, when installed properly to the manufactures standards you can have years wth no problems, people who have problems need to look at the entire instalation befor condemming the product, most of the instalations I go out to are problems with either dirty systems, inserficient gas supply or condesation problems all faults of the instalation, unfortunatly most of the companys that buy and fit them are not intereted in doing the propper job just get n and... Actually reviewing Heatline Solaris boiler. Would avoid Heatline at all costs. Very poor customer service - no response to correspondence or telephone calls.

Had problems with this boiler since it was installed as part of a whole new central heating system. Engineer was out almost every month to fix a problem of no hot water or heating.

After each visit, water would pour out the system, flooding garage. Eventually had to put up with a constant leak after Engineer said it couldn't... (read more)

Written on: 23/03/2010

When the engineer, who installed the Ferroli to my house, told that it will not run more than 5 years whatever we do, I thought that he is just pessimistic. I wish he would be correct though. It is second year, and the boiler broke down. Service couldn't fix it at all, so I decided to dismantle and see what's wrong. I succeeded to make it warm at least one radiator so I wouldn't freeze in -10 degrees. A few days ago spring came, so I dismantled again to find out why I couldn't fix it before.... (read more)

I found this review very helpful because...it confirms my experience with Heatline. Apparantly, under the Sale of Goods Act, a product like this should last for a reasonable amount of time (5-10years). Worth contacting Citizens Advice for further info if boiler is only just out of warranty.

Nothing but trouble. Only intermittent hot water. Very noisy. Sometimes sounds as if its fallen off the wall. Frequent pressure adjustments needed, either too high or too low. Nasty little valve to adjust pressure. Easy to turn it too far. The the pressure goes too high, and I have to get the plumber. Frequently shuts down. the Heatline C24 is my worst purchase ever. The Gas Man's Comment

Written on: 16/08/2009

I found this review not helpful because...I have installed several of these boilers over the last 3years and none of them have ever broken down, they run quietly and all are at least 97 percent efficient! Much better than the more expensive over engineered boilers on the market. I have one in my own house and my aging mum!Im also a qualified gas engineer so I actually know what Im talking about. I personally think this review is made up!

Have the Heatline Solaris boiler which was fitted as part of a whole new central heating system. I have had nothing but problems since it was fitted and Engineers have replaced almost every part of it (Circuit Board, gas valves, divertors kits). Engineers were out nearly every month whilst it was under warranty, however, it is now out of warranty and Heatline don't want to know. They say they have no record of any parts being replaced so are refusing to look at again despite me having paperwork from their Engineers. Definately worst purchase ever. Poor customer service from Heatline also - who do not reply to any correspondence or return telephone calls.
