This was our first time to L'Estartit and the Festa Platja Apts. The staff, apts and area were just what we needed. Everyone is so friendly. The apts and complex are very good value for money. The kids were well entertained (as well as the adults)!!!
The town was fairly quiet tourist wise, which suited us fine, although I can imagine there would be a fair old buzz in the height of the season. I loved the relaxed atmosphere and will definately be returning.
We took a taxi from the airport, but in hindsight, you can get the bus to Girona bus station and within a short time get another bus to L'Estartit. This costs a lot less than a taxi. However, if ur arriving early, it's worth it to pay a little bit extra. The buses hav air con and r very comfortable. The taxi firm we used on arrival was Kings of L'Estartit. Very nice driver, Martin, who was very informative and helpful. This was the cheapest taxi and was organised by Carol at Barracuda Bar. Can't wait to return. :) Probably will hire a car for a few days next visit altho not necessary. Brill altogether.

We first went to L'Estartit in 2000, just the two of us, my hubby and I. We relaxed like we had never relaxed before. 2 Weeks of doing nothing on the long beautiful beach of L'Estartit. We stayed in the Festa Mar apartments. We had a sea view apartment on the third floor. It was clean a little basic, but all you needed really.
