We had a two week stay at the Karbel Hotel small rooms but clean and air conditioned, maid service every day and flowers put in room for my birthday and on the beds. lovely breakfast and hotel in perfect location away from the noise but on the doorstep for all the restaurants and bars, n-joys best entertainment till early hours with dancing and karoke. lovely beaches sand and pebbles very hot shoes recommended. we will be going again next year in September as it was much to hot in July. lovely people lovely clean place. recommend to all age groups.

Hotel Karbel is in a beautiful area with reasonable night life unless you want Halikarnasus at Bodrum. Good Restaurants abound. Olu deniz is a world paragliding centre. Beatiful setting a ten minute stroll to the beach front. Hotel was immaculately clean when we visited in October 2008. Staff very good. Food was excellent, so much so we ate out only once. Two pools., I guess this was once two seperate hotels. Entertainment good. See the "snake" male belly dancer!

Not the largest rooms but well ...

I have been to hotel Karbel for 11 years so I have seen it change but I believe it was for the better because of the changes through the time its not bothered me at all. I have been to different places in Turkey such as Istanbul but to be truthful I don't think it was very nice. Karbells food is great the staff are all ways there to help and are always joking about with each other and the visitors. The hotel is very clean and the gardens are full of exotic plants if you go in early july you will ...

The Hotel Karbel was excellent and the facilities and area. When we went in July we found there was too many wasps everywhere. Overall fantastic place to stay will definitely go again.

Wow, what a place, I have been to Gumbet, and that was nowhere near the place that this is.
Loved it, booked as soon as I got back, and will go back sooner if money permits.
Hotel was clean, so were the streets.
People were very friendly and staff were amazing, great with kids.
Beach is close by, its a bit pebbly for me but lovely, and there is a bowling alley, 5 lira each really cheap.
I can't praise this place enough, great for kids and adults alike.
Try the Buzz Bar on the front, Captai ...

Thoroughly enjoyed Olu Deniz. Lovely resort; small enough to be cosy and large enough to offer plenty for everyone. The fleets of Dolmus (minibus) that travel between Hisaronu (usual neon tourist town but a good night out), Fethiye (large Turkish port, great food and market), and Olu Deniz, make it incredibly simple to get around in about 15 minutes.

With reference to one of the negative reviews, I certainly didn't smell any sewage, and I found the Hotel Karbel perfectly adequate - at the end ...

We went in june 2005, we loved it so much we are going back again in june 2006. The resort is lovely, but beware of the things people sell you down the main street. The staff and locals are generally wonderful and helpful and there is so much to do there. The beach is lovely and paying to get into the laguna is so worth it! The sea is clear and warm! If you get a chance go on a boat trip, its cheap and fun! The hotel is great and the pool is fun for kids and adults alike. The poolside bar is gre ...

Me and my husband decided to get married at the Blue Lagoon and we stayed at the Hotel Karbel. When we booked our wedding/holiday we were a bit nervous about weather we had made the right decision as we had never been to Turkey before also we have a 3 year old son and were a little bit worried whether Turkey was the right place to go with children. As soon as we arrived we knew we had made the right decision. It was a lovely resort and a fantastic hotel. We had 60 people travel with us for the w ...

I never like to get involved in anything of this nature normally but I feel it is my duty to comment on the hotel, yes there are 2 Karbels one small and one big we stayed at the large Karbel hotel and it was the worst holiday of our lives!

Olu Deniz is not my idea of relaxing it's a dump (in my opinion) the holiday rep told us on the coach journey to the hotel to look out for the beautiful scenery of Turkey, well I looked and I looked and I looked but nothing? Just hovel, broken buildings an ...

The Hotel Karbel in Turkey is the best place ever. 3* doesn't show its true colours.

I have never had such an enjoyable holiday as the one I had at the Hotel Karbel in Olu Deniz, Turkey. The weather was lovely. The hotel was stunning, and every member of staff went out of their way to ensure you had an unforgettable time.

This was my first time to Turkey, but the people I was with had been three times before and even they said Hotel Karbel is one of their favourites!
-The pool was very well looked after and cleaned, same with the public toilets, the bar, restaurant and the rooms.
-The activities during the day are fun which are water aerobics and water polo, this is done by the staff of the bar and they are a real laugh.
-During the day they come round with such indulgences as milkshakes - which were a big h ...

Stayed at the Karbel (Aug 2005) never to return. Couldn't stand the resort or the hotel. Wouldn't recommend to anyone! Feel ashamed to be British!!! The whole holiday was just a great big let down. Came home feeling just as stressed as we did before. To be honest during our stay we only had to look around the pool at the other people staying at the hotel to see why all the reviews are 10 out of 10... in my opinion the people staying at the hotel during our stay has no class, no taste, just beer ...

Myself and my partner (both in our mid 20's) stayed at the Karbel from the 14th - 28th of July and can honestly say that this was our worst holiday we have ever had. I am amazed at all the good reviews on the net and wonder if it is slightly suspicious! The food is inedible, the drinks are extremely expensive (you pay more than you would in the UK) the pool isn't very nice at all, it is a lot smaller that you are led to believe in brochures etc. 90% of the guests are English, it's like staying ...

Hotel Karbel lived up to our expectations, having read previous reviews about the place. We've also had friends go there as well and they couldn't fault it.

Don't expect the rooms to be very big (two beds, a table, wardrobe and shower room and that's about it) as far as the balcony's concerned ......... well two B&Q patio chairs and no room for anything else.

I know picking on little things, but there wasn't anything else to fault it on - easily a good 3 star hotel.

    Don't expect full En ...

Olu Deniz, Hotel Karbel - Well, just got back (20 June 05) from our 7th stay at the Karbel. It just gets better & we are quite happy to go again and again. During the closed season there has been extensive refurbishment to the hotel including the addition of 35 new rooms. Most of the rooms have now got UPVC doors and windows (keeps those damn mozzies away - saw 1 in the room over 2 weeks) and all rooms have new bathrooms including hair dryers, the obligatory air conditioning, fridge & TV as stan ...

My family and I went to turkey and stayed at karbel hotel in 2003, and I have just booked to go again this year we can not wait for June to arrive, everything about the karbel was great, the staff were very friendly and the food was wonderful and the rooms very clean. The maids came every day and some days even put flowers on the bed from the beautiful gardens (me being very girly thought this was a very special touch). The bar staff and evening entertainment was second to none, some evenings th ...

We stayed at Hotel Karbel in Turkey on 15th oct 04. This was my first time I've been to turkey and ever since we got back we have been planning on going again. The area of the hotel is brilliant surrounded by shops (hello to Eddie, Baz, Alex and Dave!!!) The beach is great; there was a beach party which was fantastic for people my age. Also there are some really good clubs, I would recommend Crousoes (A few steep stairs to get to it) and Plaza bar (They will put a ramp up for you if you are di ...
