I complained to Thomsons about an excursion my husband and I had taken in Italy because of health and safety issues and they didn't even bother to investigate the complaint properly and just sent a couple of standard letters in reply. Their customer services is appalling. They have no interest in looking after their customers. I would suggest never taking one of their excursions and I will NEVER book a holiday with them again. “Thomson excursion to Pompeii”

We booked an excursion to Pompeii and Vesuvius with Thomsons, who use the services of company called Acampora in Sorrento. It was raining heavily on the day of the excursion and Thomson should have cancelled the trip to Pompeii on health and safety grounds as the site at Pompeii was flooding and very slippery. “Efficient, helpful and friendly”

The whole process was great from beginning to end. So easy. Would definitely recommend. All the staff we encountered from The shop, to the cleaners, waiters, bar staff, admin team and our Rep in the hotel were fantastic and nothing was too much trouble. The hotel was lovely, modern, clean and very welcoming. Our room had air conditioning and the bed was the most comfortable I've ever encountered. “Thomson sport -- terrible never never again ”

Booked a day trip with Thomson sport to watch Mcfc against Madrid. Received email of confirmation & also spoke with the Sales Team, who confirmed my seat on the plane. 12 hours later, received an email to tell me that I didn't have a seat on the plane as they had oversubscribed. “Thomson holiday with Thos Cook flights”

Booked a Lanzarote holiday with Thomsons only to be told at a later date our outward flight was with Thos.Cook. We could not book seats or get boarding passes for our outward flight from Cooks as they said we had no booking with them. “ bad customer service”

i was charged over 100 pounds to pre book our seats as iam a bad flyer and like to be near the front we was told i could go online 90 days before our return date and select seats.i clicked on at12.00 midnight and was the first on ,i was horrified to see we could only choose from 13 rows in the middle of the plane i front 5 rows were allocated for the disabled and the entire back of the plane was pay more for extra leg room.so really was no point in pre booking as we would have been in the same… Read Full Review

“Take no responsibility”

Just returned from trip to Marrakech. The Rep did not show at the hotel and we were unable to contact via the mobile and email given. There was no communication regarding our transfer back to the airport and I ended up having to organise and pay for our transfer. Thomson will not refund this as I do not have a receipt (have they been to Marrakech???) and I did not phone their helpline at the time. “Terrible Customer Service”

India Customer Service, they lie, and no empathy. System went down three times on three consecutive days, called them daily to ask if they would book for me but their English was so poor I could not trust them to get the names correct. Told me that it was easier to book online. They said al flights from Manchester fully booked and if we wanted to go to the hotel then we would have to fly from Cardiff. “Day Beach Playa Blanca”

Dreadful rooms, all walls had damp above a meter high. Black mould in bathroom in larges areas. Water poured in through wi does and walls. It poured down interior bedroom wall and pooled on floors. Asked Thompson rep and reception fir help- just got piles of towels given for mopping up water! Beds damp and very uncomfortable - just given piles of rugs to put on mattresses. “Their holidays are OK but don't trust them to get you home”

Went on a holiday with Thomson Ski (Crystal ski as they are now known, possibly because of their poor reputation as Thomson Ski.) Holiday was fine, we had almost zero contact with our rep but that was fine as he clearly didn't know anything about the resort anyway. The real 'fun' started to occur when it came time to leave, we arrived at the airport and found the check in desk. coming to the end of my holiday in Mexico when Id lost my debit card. id needed to withdraw pesos to pay my exit tax approx. (995 pesos). when I arrived at the check in id told them id lost my card and there was no way I could pay it. the genuine answer I got was a shrug off the shoulders and told there was nothing they could do I wasn't getting on that flight today. “Totally pointless customer service”

We booked 11 nights at Melia Dunas Resort Hotel . My husband cannot walk far and has to use a stick so having read numerous reviews which mentioned the sheer size of the complex we asked for a reservation close by the restuarants.We were assured that this had been arranged so were not happy to be told on our arrival that our accommadation was a 10 minute walk away from the main restuarant area. . “Excessive amendment fees”

I know rules are there for reasons but come on £50 because you have a name wrong when booking.. £50 for pressing a delete button 6 times and another 6 buttons to correct it!! I am not asking for a change 2 weeks before the holiday but 3 months prior!! Not only that, I am a repeat customer and have spent over £15000 over the past several years. My elderly parents made the mistake of going into a Thomson travel agent to book a flight to come and visit me in New Zealand. I had looked on Singapore Airlines website that same morning and there were flights on there for 1,986 pounds. When I spoke to my mum that evening she told me they had paid 2,600 pounds!!! Sorry to see so many complaints and disappointed customers. We had no problems fortunately. Check in straightforward. Flight fine, normal seat- have had worse leg room. Transfers on time, Hotel great, had researched this beforehand.. Reps ok the usual selling methods . Excursions not cheap but very good guides and experiences.
