I have gone from a regular user of Thomson to never using them again. I paid for a sea view, didn't get it and Thomson REFUSE to repay the money despite admitting we didn't have a sea view. I will never use them again. Very poor customer service

I went on holiday to Sharm el Sheik 21-28 april. I stayed at Sonesta Beach Hotel, Naama bay. I booked with rep to go to St Catherines monastery on the Tuesday for the Saturday and they told me it was cancelled the night before I was due to leave because it was Egypts Easter weekend. So why couldn't they tell me this when I booked it, I tried to see rep in hotel but Thomson customer service kept giving me wrong info when she was there, they got mixed up with Sonesta club hotel, so I wasted hours ...

6th April disaster day if you were going to Cancun. Recently flew to Cancun and just thought you might like to know about how Thomson look after their paying customers.

I booked my holiday in november last year to goto mexico (Puerto Vallarta) this May and in the brochure it clearly shows 25kg of luggage allowance plus further 5kg hand luggage and also prebooked seats together. At the time of booking this the agent in Wolverhampton stated i would get all of these benefits as this was a Premier holiday. Complained about holiday which was ruined due to Thomson's ineptitude only to be fobbed off by several different employees. Eventually went to ABTA who told us we had a good case and then to the Arbitrator who decided we were lying (despite hard written evidence) and Thomson were telling the truth so we lost our case. The Arbitrator then wanted a further £240 to lodge an appeal. We gave up at this point. I will never book another package holiday with Thomson ever again.

Just read other reviews and we all seem to be having the same problem. I booked a 2 week holiday to Mexico in Jan via the Thomson website. I paid a deposit and received an email saying the balance would be due at the end of March. I expected an invoice in the post but nothing came so I phoned them in March to ask what to do. They said they would send me an invoice, but nothing came again!!!

Total foul up by Thomson. Booked a special holiday with 5 friends to celebrate our 40th birthdays. Upgraded on the plane, paid several months in advance, only to get to airport and told there was no upgrades on the flights so had to travel economy. Their transfer coach broke down when collecting us after our holiday, made us late for our flight home and so could not even sit together. I cannot believe the total ineptitude of of the Thomson organisation. It is nothing short of a scandal.Will I ever get my receipt for over two thousand pounds ???Will I ever get the confirmation invoice for the second holiday. If not, how do I know when to pay the bill ???The whole situation is unbelievable and unforgivable !!!

Paid £804 for 1 weeks half board for 2 people which included an extra payment of £154 for a so called superior room with balcony and seaview. The superior room, although large was in need of a revamp. Got to Newcastle airport 2 and a half hours before the gate was due to close, so 3 hours before the flight took off. For some reason Thomson now have a check in policy where all flights queue together. We were in line with people for a flight which left an hour after ours. Thomson didn't even have the sense to call the people for the Corfu flight to the front to get them away from the desks. Rather than go on about everything, heres the problem we had with the hotel room.
I paid £4,000 for an all inclusive holiday for 2 weeks in the Carribean for myself, my new wife and our 3 year old son. The reps where very nice and sweet the hotels and villas are clean when I go over to spain the weather is always hot. The best holiday ever. Good for kids and fun in every way. The excurcions are a bit over priced. A bit of mould here and there and toilets are not so clean.

Not even gone on holiday yet and Thomsons have spoilt the start before we've even started. Thomsons have reneged on the original booking condition of a 25kg luggage allowance and unilaterally reduced it down to 20kg. To make it worse Customer Service is non existent - not contactable by phone, only by letter, which is too late to resolve the issue before our flight.

I will NEVER travel with Thomsons again. They ruined my valentines day. The staff are under trained and more bothered about commission than customers wants/needs!Lost over £200 re-booking holiday, was charged for branch mistake! When I went back - no managers or assistant managers in store, so wasted 7 hours going back, and parking costs. Not ONCE did I get an apology.

I have been going on Thomson holiday twice a year since 2000. This has been the worst holiday I have been on and the level of service from Thomson has considerable deterioated in the last year.
I have been going on there Gold programme since 2002 and to say this is one of there flagship programme I am sorry to say that even this is not as good.
The entertainment team were so bad on most nights by the end of the show there was hardly anybody left in the ballroom.

Always travel with Thomson. Been with them for thirty years. The staff are really helpful when you book a holiday and make everything so simple. We always use the Gold hotels which are brilliant. The entertainment is very good, some of the acts are better than the ones on television.
I wish there were more to choose from as we are having to visit the same ones twice. Really good that there are no young children at the Gold Hotels which makes the holidays perfect.

Excellent hotel and hotel staff. Very poor Thomson customer service. My wife and I booked a Thomson excursion whilst at the hotel. When it was not delivered we expected a full refund without any fuss. We were astonished when this was refused. We are still fighting for a full refund. A potentially excellent holiday totally ruined by the complete lack of Thomson Customer Service.

This is the third visit to Nerja beautiful part of the Costa del Sol weather in January sunny and warm . We do like to vary our holiday destinations, but we will again go back to Nerja, plenty still to see and do.
