We were not expecting a super luxury service, we have been on The Thomson Destiny before. Pound for pound it is good value. We treat the ship as a floating hotel, somewhere to eat and sleep. We are more inteested in the ports of call for sightseeing and local people. We find the food to be of good quality and served with a smile by waiters such as Yotcol and Ludwig in the Seven Seas restaurant and the self service at the Lido bar. Our suite was very nice, kept clean and comfortable by our cabin maid Svitlana andwe had no problems with any of the staff, but then we do not look for something to complain about. The high spot of any trip on this ship is the entertainment. This trip outdid the others. The Destiny theatre group were magnificent, giving their best at every performance. A group of young dedicated, hardworking profesionals who enjoy their work, not x\factor wannabes but well trained and diciplined singes and dancers doing what they like best for the enjoyment of all. The whole weeks entertainment was delightful and every member of the cast was as good as the others, there are no prima donnas in this group. Having said that, there were a couple of highlights to be mentioned. The top spot goes to the Phantom of the opera duet, outstanding. Antoinette as Evita was a powerful performnce, when she hit the stage she became engrosed in the character and lived evry moment. Bet comedy performance has to go to Dan as the drunken pirate, with his rendition of the Queen hit, Somebody to ROB. better group of performers you could not see on a West End stage. Now they are off for a short season in the Caribean and wewish them lots of sun and success. We hpe that one day they get the recognition they deserve after all their hard work.

I would never book a holiday with Thomson ever again. The only thing they are interested in is taking your money. The reps dress like they are about to play football, they spend little time in resort and are not willing to deal with problems, they lie to you to get you to book trips, they don't turn up to complete the complaint reports. We had a fantastic stay at out hotel but every time Thomson was involved it was a circus.

Booked this holiday with a friend, after she had recently undergone major surgery, and was feeling a little depressed. We stayed at Aegean Dream Resort in Turtugreis, Turkey. The resort was amazing and exceeded our expectations. However our entire holiday was ruined by the Thompson rep who, upon departure, left earlier than the stated time of pick up, leaving us stranded. My friend was so anxious she broke out in hives....we had no money left and were told by Thomson 24/7 hotline, that we sh ...

We have just returned from the Bonamar hotel in Cala Bona, and would just like to say what a lovely time we had. The Hotel was greet and the people was so friendly. The food was good and staff friendly. Reception was helpful barring one female who was more interested in her make up. Thomsons rep was friendly and helpful. Bar staff was overworked needed more staff but were nice barring one. Rooms were clean and cleaner very nice, indoor pool was very refreshing as it was very hot. Only fau ...

I booked my wedding with Thomson Holidays and they totally mislead me. I was promised a great wedding package, 3 weeks later i got a call saying the package doesnt exist anymore and theres nothing they would do about it. I couldnt cancel or i would have lost my wedding date. The travel agent was so unhelpful and the member of staff who booked my holiday was no help at all. I have written to head office twice as i am so unhappy but i havent even heard back from them!

We went with Thomson to a villa in Florida. The flights were uncomfortable - not enough pillows or blankets for everyone, they ran out of water, and of course if you want to watch a film when you want to you have to "upgrade" for an extra £5 each. Just getting the family to sit together cost an extra £70!

Most irritating though was that when we picked up the Villa key we were told that it was Florida law for us to register our stay, and that there was a meeting to do that the ne ...

Thompson Holidays seem to be doing offers on All Inclusive Holidays.

Basically on a few hotels you can Upgrade to All Inclusive for as little as 1p per night per person. We decided to book our holiday on this basis and were assured be the operater on the telephone that this was infact correct on the holiday we were thinking of booking. We said yes please to the holiday (only booking it due to the offer) and the operator proceded to charged me an extra 28p for an all inclusive upgrade for 2.

We booked a 'Platinum' holiday to Crete - Rythymna Beach hotel (a 5-star hotel); very pricey, so we expected good service from Thomson. Were slightly puzzled as 'Platinum' is supposed to provide pre-booked plane seats, to receive a 'hard' sales call a week before departure requesting payment (£12 each) to pre-book seats together - we refused and got great seats anyway. When staying at 3 & 4 star hotels we've always been greeted with a chilled bottle of water on the coach ride, but got noth ...

I have always used Thomas Cook, but this time wor our wedding in Greece Thompsons were twenty pounds cheaper per flight and with fivteen tickets required it added up to a saving. I wish now i had not used them.
The booking over the phone went smoothly, although we had to spell all the sir names as some of them ar polish, several weeks later we were on the phone chasing paperwork so we could pay the ballance, many phone calls later we finally got the paper work so we could give them some money. ...

Thomson fly are a disgrace, after failing to put my luggage on a flight from Manchester to Dubrovnic, their agent then refused to deliver the luggage to my hotel, then the UK customer services told me it was nothing to do with them and hung up the phone.
I had to fetch the luggage 3 days late form the airport, it took a whole day, if I had not hired a car then I would not have got my luggage at all. When I returned to UK I received a pitiful 70 quid from their insurers and Thomson won ' t answe ...
