Pool was great which was heated & was never freezing cold like most hotel pools. Room were kept very clean. Can't wait to go back. :-) (read more)

The Spring Hotel Vulcano was very clean, good food, great staff and will go back. We went to the Vulcano with my husbands family as they go at least once a year. I am glad we did. No bad points. (read more)

As a disabled traveller, I am always very careful to ensure I book suitable accommodation, and also make sure both the Hotel and airline are aware of my disability. Until this year I have never experienced a problem, but the Spring Hotel Vulcano proved to be the exception. Not only were we refused the accommodation we had booked, but we received no assistance in out effort to find alternative accommodation. The hotel fully deserves its zero rating! (read more)

At the Spring Hotel Vulcano the rooms are kept clean, plenty of food choice, central location. Pool area at the sister hotel across the Bittacora was a lot nicer so we spent nost of our pool time there. (read more)

The Spring Hotel Vulcano in Playa De Las Americas is very clean, but staff need to go on a customer care course.
br/>The hotel is in a very good position.

The food was not piping hot, and it was very repetitive. More imagination is needed in the dining room. (read more)

I would not return to this hotel, although the location, appearance and food on the whole was quite nice, but I have stayed in much nicer hotels of a similar type.

The experience of "dining" in the evening was not one I would like to repeat. It was more like a cafeteria than a dining room. Plates were snatched from under your nose whether your partner (in my case my husband) had finished their course or not. It was a question of being fed rather than dining in comfort and peace. The... Having read the very favourable reviews about Vulcano hotel, we decided to go for it and it surely lived up to the high standards almost all authors have spoke of.
This is indeed a beautifully appointed hotel, well worthy of its 4 star rating with the reception area decked out as a lush sub tropical garden with a waterfall and an abundance of international flora, labelled for the horticulturalists amongst us. First impressions count for an awful lot and this area exudes a warm ambiance at... (read more)

Playa de las Americas Vulcan is a good hotel .
The entertainer is well cool
If you're between 16-25, you wont like spending time at the hotel - go to the beach ( well better then the hotel).
Night shows aren't worth going to! (read more)

Written on: 05/07/2002 by debvoyce.

The hotel Vulcano at Playa de las Americas on Tenerife was one of the few I've stayed in that has actually deserved its 4* rating. The food was excellent and changed nightly (don't know about breakfast - never managed to be up in time!), the staff were friendly and obliging, and the rooms and design of the hotel were excellent. I was most impressed with the indoor 'jungle'. It is situated near enough to Veronicas so that taxis aren't needed, yet far enough away so as not to be overwhelmed by... (read more)

I'm taking the extended family to Tenerife in 2005 and this review is a good one. I feel we are well informed before we spend our dosh.
Distance from drunken crowd invaluable, and thanks for the whales warning, grandma was looking to do that!!
Could have given more info on trip £s and if worth hiring a car.
What do hotel rooms look onto, sea, swimming pool or just loads of other hotels?
What is evening shows like?
Is there a big show on the island that's worth seeing?

Just one comment and that is I have been to Tenerife twice before during May and January, and both times seen LOTS of Whales and Dolphins on trips we have been on. I particularly recommend the Pirates trip if you want some entertainment on board as well. (Many trips depart from Los Cristianos).
