I usually bring friends and upgrade to six berth at the fountains area, which is of a pretty high standard. We all enjoy each stay and we are all looking forward to the new development plans which are to be completed in the next year or so. I am very happy with all amenities offered, staff are attentive and friendly.

“Although our hotel in Las Vegas, the Ramada Vacation...”

Although our hotel in Las Vegas, the Ramada Vacation Suites, was downmarket compared to the hotels on the Boulevard (the Strip), it afforded easy access onto the middle of the Strip (about 2 blocks). The centre of the Strip featured some of the major hotel/casino's such as the Bellagio, Bally's, Imperial Palace and Harra's. The great thing about Las Vegas is, although it is a huge attraction for gamblers (which I'm not), you are actively encouraged to visit each hotel, most of which contain all-you can-eat buffets, shops, diplays and free attractions. Each hotel is an experience in itself. Several of them provide a free monorail to help you visit other hotels on the Strip e.g MGM Grand - Bally's (several blocks), Mandalay - Luxor etc. Another plus is the free hotel parking. You don't need a car to get around the city but it certainly helps if you want to enhance your experience. We drove to the Hoover Dam (about 30 miles south east, Red Rock Canyon (just on the outskirts), Beltz Outlet Mall (south on the Strip) and some of the further away motels and shopping malls.
You can also visit the Grand Canyon from Las Vegas either by car, coach, plane or helicopter. We went to the Grand Canyon 4 years ago and chose a coach trip to revisit it (the coach even picks you up and drops you off at your individual hotels).
To give you an overall picture of Las Vegas, imagine Blackpool a thousand times classier (and cleaner) with great weather (remember you are in the middle of the Mohave Desert!).
Thoroughly recommended for sights and entertainment and sunshine, however it is geared towards adults as there are very few attractions for youngsters.
