Good Points: I have had the Siemens MT50 phone for over three years, it cost me £60 on T-Mobile pay-as-you-go, I did not want a phone that could take pictures, or was capable of downloading multiple nauseating ringtones, I can pre-pay for my calls almost anywhere, without handing out large sums of money every month.

Bad Points: Sure it might take a few seconds to load-up from 'Off,' but at my age I can wait.
The only thing that irks me is when I want to make a call is that the phone goes into GPRS info, so I have to start over again.

General comments: I am very happy with the Siemens MT50, so if-&-when it decides to stop working, I will be looking for exactly the same thing to replace it, I already have a camera, an mp3 player, & an alarm clock to wake me up, I DO NOT want a phone that makes coffee

In spite of the bad points, I like this phone because it feels good to hold, the plastic is nice & the screen is attractive. It is also nice to carry around. The most annoying features, are that you have to confirm switch on, or it switches itself off again, and when you have a text message at switch on, you can't just press 'phone' to retrieve it. I don't care about features, as long as I can make phone calls. If only it had the Nokia 3310 software!

This little phone is OK if you don't really care much, but it DEFINITELY doesn't compare with the slightly more modern phones you can get now. Only buy this one if your on a budget (mine was only about a tenner from some internet site) or if you only want a phone 2 call people with, because it can't do much else!

I bought this Siemens MT50 mobile phone a while ago, in 2002, and had used it for about 12 months before its shoddy keypad got the better of my nerves. The phone features a blue backlit black and white screen, built in aerial (very handy), caller ID, Java applications installed OTAD (over the air downloadable), programmable soft keys and call wait 'n' hold amongst many other useful features. They are moderately priced nowadays at around £30 on T-Mobile or sim-free. I would like to recommen ...

I bought the Siemens MT50 mobile phone because every one seemed to have nokias so i thought i would be different. I wish i went for nokia sometimes because this phone takes time to load! Also nokia and some other phones are easier to use and have more accesaries and ringtones of course!

Had this phone nearly 12 months, and have hated it for the past 11.
Thank god my contract expires in a few weeks, then I can go back to a good old Nokia.
    Bad points:
Top two menu buttons are difficult to use.
    Buttons aren't always responsive.
Buttons are sometimes too responsive, i.e. press 1 and get 11.
Seimens service is inconvenient. (Yeah I tried to get my phone fixed, but it needed to be sent away. I have a Nokia service centre 10 min away )

Message beep is too quiet so can't be he ...

I had this Siemens MT50 phone after my last phone, an ericsson T20, got a little out of date in september last year.
My first impressions on the phone were very good, and i thaught i had a real good quality phone for a very small cost. I was right, too.
It really is a good quality phone only let down by tiny little flaws that are,(i do admit), a little annoying at times.
overall though, a good quality phone, thanks.

I was obviously heartbroken when i lost my C45 and this seemed like an ideal replacement. The price was very competitive compared to the cost of Nokia phones, which i feel have a slightly tacky and overdone feel. The blue screen never fails to impress friends and you feel proud to have it with you. I like the fact you can personalise everything about it and by the way you can get fascias on the siemens website. They even sell them in some shops too and if not they will order them for you. If y ...

I have had a Siemans MT50 for over a month now and to be honest, its the worst phone i have come across. It may look stylish but it isn't very user friendly at all. It is difficult to navigate the phone. I previously owned a Nokia 3310 and find that much easier to user. For example, writing a text message would take so long on Siemans and i feel that the service is very slow!!!

The phone looks nice enough with the blue screen and all but I've noticed it freezes too often and it's significantly slower than my previous phone (C35i). There are a bunch of features available, but there is no ringtone composer which is annoying since I'm supposed to order tones from the net, which is impossible as I live in a country no site wants to send tones to.
I always preferred Siemens phones and I had a Siemens C35i before and was very satisfied with it. So maybe I expected too muc ...

Its a phone worth £80 its trust-worthy and light, its also fits in your hand and pocket well.
It can be slow at times, there arn't very good ring tones and the internet should be easier to connect to.

This Siemens MT50 is a great phone for your money with Java and GPRS support. It needs a bit of hacking to make the phone accept midlets through cable, but eventually it does and it works fine using Siemens Data Exchange. Also the old (and great) S35 explorer works as it should, unbelievable, eg. it doesn't work with the C45. These two softwares are enough to manage all the features (which i needed so far). Negative point is that in the menu sometimes the most commonly used item is at the bottom ...

In general I love this phone. People think that Nokia mobile phones are the best, but they are wrong! I think Siemens are the best phones. I have had both. The phones I've had in the past are MOTOROLA, SAGEM, PHILIPS, NOKIA and now SIEMENS MT50 and this one is the best. Screw the Nokia Camera phones, they have nothing on the siemens mt50.

I bought the siemens mt50 mobile phone because i had my eye on it for while and I was after something moderately cheap but good quality. The mt50 appealed to me because of its price and its good looks. What I got far exceeded my expectations. Although there is only one game on it (moorhuhn) Many more can easily be downloaded from T-mobile's wap site for a relatively small fee. The games are massively varied, including racing, shooting platform and puzzle games, almost all of which put Nokia's ga ...

The Siemens mt50 mobile phone is nice, small and practical what else could you want from a phone under a £100. The games and wap are great - this is siemens showing the future of teenagers mobile phones.
