In one word disgrace. This bank will rip you off left right & centre, even if you go 10pence overdrawn they will charge you up to £40 a time. They also charge you £15 a time to send a letter out to your address. Yet in there adverts they have the cheek to say that they do "helpful banking" that is far from the truth... NatWest are a disgrace!

It's July. Been trying since April to transfer into Natwest e-ISA account after being suckered by their ads. Still waiting. On top of that the transfer is from RBS ! Service is dreadful. By comparison my wife went with the Halifax and it was done very quickly and they even phoned my wife to check everything was ok. Chalk and cheese. I will be switching from Natwest to Halifax as soon as I can.

The online application wasn't as clear as it might have been, but I contacted the helpline and they explained what to do in what order.Everything worked fine, including the transfer from Abbey. So I'm very happy with it - instant access to.

Very unnerving experience on 17 April, where failure of Natwest's website to perform as described led to a call where I was asked for my entire online PIN!!. This I refused but reported by email, telephone and in person at my local branch. Having heard nothing back from any of them since I now have fears this account is far from secure and customer service extremely poor. I haven't yet opened an account, or transferred funds, but have written and telephoned again today, almost a month later a ...
