This hand blender not only malfunctioned but did so in quite a dangerous way. You cannot use it for more than a minute without it overheating. Also, when it broke, the rotating blade came out of the safety-cover whilst it was spinning, which was very dangerous. Not a good product, not recommended (read more)

As with other Russell Hobbs products this is a disappointing/useless item. After about 2 minutes use it overheats and cuts out (even beating eggs!)it then takes about 10 minutes to cool down but then cuts out after half a minute!! Avoid at all costs (read more)

I am an experienced cook and have a number of well loved and invaluable home appliances in my kitchen, ranging from a top of the range Magimix to a Kitchen Aid mixer. I was reassured in my purchase of this item by the endorsement of MPW. I feel quite angry, as the machine doesn't do what other similar products achieve and most other products in this range have dishwasher safe bowls and blades (obviously not anything containing gearing or a motor), I would strongly advise people not to...
