If you require a part for your car do not consider using Mr Engine. We paid out £1250 after being told an engine for our mazda was in stock. Told it would be delivered 2 weeks ago and we are still waiting. Mr Engine have blamed the couriers however having read other reviews about the company I can see this is a regular problem. I just wish we had read the reviews before we ordered the engine!

I ordered an MR2 2.0 GT engine which never showed up, over a week later I made several phone calls and was finally told the engine wasn't even in stock.

I have requested a refund and was told to wait five working days for it to show up in the system. Five days later I make another call only to find out they didn't have any of my card details or phone numbers in their system, despite promptly taking payment for the engine the day after I ordered it!

ordered a replacement gearbox. when it arrived it was cracked and unusable. Offered a full refund if i sent it back. promptly did only to be spun a web of deciet for 3 months now. "Cheque is in the post"; "Tried to refund but the electronic transfer failed 3 times" - coupled with never phoning back, DO NOT USE THESE COWBOYS

Bought a gearbox for our Subaru checked all details with Mr engine first. Bought a reconditioned gearbox.
Told delivery 2 days 5 days later rang it's on its way.
Rang again put on hold no-one rings you back Oh courier sent in wronmg direction definately in 2 days. All thsi time I am without a car and it si stuck at the garage!
7 days ago rang again as still no gearbox. Asked for details of courier, most person I spoke to Oh I don't know who that is?! Given name of their supplier who knew I was a ...

RBDET25 purchased for £1150 inc. Deposit

So far so good, engine apparently has uprated bits, havent seen it yet but mechanic say looks very good condition. Helpful staff so far. Am worried having read reviews whether or not to return my old engine or sell it privately!!! cant be sure if what they said is done is done as cant open engine because of warranty security seals! will have to trust! will advise further down the line!!!! From reading the reviews the main problems with these guys ...

6 weeks have now gone past and I'm still waiting for deposit back sick to death of making phone calls, I don't believe that a yank could talk so much b******* so it is time to make a personal visit to these gentlemen. Whatever you do don't even think of dealing with these people, you will just get ripped off in some way. Check up on them before you think of using them then go somewhere else.

Had no bother aquiring the engine from this company, the problem is getting my deposit back for the old engine, it has been 4weeks and I am still calling this company up for my money and it has still not been returned to me. They keep saying that it will be returned but to no avail. The delivery etc was good but they were quick to accept the contract but no good at keeping to their part of it, so be careful when you deal with them.

Stay clear of this engine company. Their website is very misleading..they do not practise what they preach. Do not believe what it says on there. This people are not trustworthy. Poor customer service and long delay in delivery of engine. And when the engine did arrive a week late the engine is a Japanese import...unlike what was claim on the phone. They will make things up just to sell you anything. You have been warned.

BEWARE!! Mr Engine ltd is the worst company i have ever dealt with!! I paid £1150 for a gto engine over 4 months ago and it has never arrived, every time i phone they always make up excuses and promise it will be delivered within days! Now 4 months later they tell me they never had the engine that they said was waiting in customs for delivery! They have told me a different story every time i phoned and make empty promises. The 'manager' promised i would get a full refund but still no money ...

Ordered a gearbox from Mr Engine in April 09,first they sent a broken box(this i found after fitting)then the replacement was the wrong type.After being given the run around for weeks they asked if i still wanted the gearbox or my money back.What a joke of a company.

This is the third experience I've watched of friends purchasing an engine through Mr. Engine. Absolute guarantee that the engine will be here in two days - well over a week each time. Try an get an explanation, put on hold or cut off more often than not. Polite and efficient till they've got your money then rude, unhelpful. Excuses have ranged from the courier took it to the wrong address to they've lost it. This is obviously a time buying tactic. They obviously don't have the engine in stock, t ...

Looks like i am not the only person to be totally suckered by Mr Engine.
They provided me with a competative quote for a gear box hasnt arrived on time. Everytime i request an update no one can tell me anything. They gave me a mobile which they said was the courier company and it turned out to be one of their employes!. Now turns out they have ordered the part through Nippon parts and it should arrive tomorow. I have concerns that this is an import and therefore will be no good anyway! Fingers c ...

Mr Engine supplied an engine for my Evo 4. It broke after 6 months. After a full engeneers report was done it turned out the engine was made up of at least 3 different engines. Many parts were not even from an Evo.
It now looks like I will have to take ten to court to recover my money.

Mr Engine is totally pathetic. I orderd a engine for my evo gave them my card number the lot. I spoke to a guy and everytime i phoned he said it was sent out and would be here the next day hahaha. Well its now 4months and still no engine, no call to apologise but thankfully they never took money out my account.

Worst possible service from mr engine, i challenge anyone to find any worse.

Ordered gearbox was told in stock on Monday and will be despatched same day.

Tuesday no gearbox delivered called them they said will call back and let you know whats going on no call.

Wednesday i called they said there is a number on the gearbox there are 2 types which we have in stock as soon as i let them know they will have it despathched straight away gave them number and they said no stock.

Three days of stres ...

Mr.Engine i think is the best company in the uk because their engines are good, deliveries on time and the customer services is very good, has warranty very good company.

We purchased a crank pulley for a japanese import from Mr Engine - told clearly that if any problems a refund would be given.
The part arrived 2days late & we were never informed it was used (& not new), should of guessed though as it was the cheapset quote around.
When part arrived it was in worse condition then the one that had failed on our vehicle. Finally got back through to the person who i had soley dealt with. Told to return it and a refund would be given. Now nearly 4 weeks later and ...

ordered gt4 98 celica engine from Mr Engine for my little baby, payed good price for a recon unit. unit arrived next day as described. engine still running in my car. amazing service. recomnmended.

Mr Engine is good to start with, then failed to return any phone calls.gearbox did not turn up when said it would, then replacement one still has not turned up.( 4 weeks later)

At this present moment in time i do not have a good thing to say about Mr Engine.
What i can say is that their customer service is so poor that i would go along way to find worse.
You rack up phone bills trying to contact them!!
These people take your money and fail to come up with the goods.
They do not take ownership for their mistakes!!!
