The Ye Olde Coach and Horses a Gastro Pub, prides itself on their website as having 3 restaurants, a resident award winning chef, who is a Connoisseur of Cookery. This must be a joke - i have honestly never eaten anything so foul in my life - we ordered Rib Eye Steak with all the trimmings and my god did you get some trimmings. Trimmings of excess fat swimming around your plate, s steak the size of a new born babies fist, what was suppose to be roasted crispy potatoes well how to describe a pile of dried up, tasteless, burnt wood chippings! But honestly i ask you - who can mess up steak - surely not an award winning chef and especially not a Connoisseur of Cookery! To top this all off we were charged £50 and only because we refused to pay the extra 10% service charge they stuck on the bill. I suggest the Ye Old Coach and Horses should concentrate on maybe getting just the one restaurant at less palatable before trying to run 3 and whilst they are doing that i suggest they check the credentials of the 'award winning chef' or better known as the 'Connoisseur of Cookery' to check who actually awarded this to him - i would imagine that these are titles only he could award himself! If you like rubbish food, bad service, no atmosphere, smell of wet dogs and then would like to pay well over the odds for the pleasure than this is the pub for you!
